"How the hell did you leave it over there? Why did you even take it off?" Octavia asked loudly.
"I don't know! I was drunk and there's probably some illogical reason that I can't get into right now!" I screamed back.
"Well what are you gonna do?"
"I unfortunately gotta go get it back," I said, "I'll go get it after I see Caroline."
"Well, good luck and God speed," she joked.
"Fuck you," I laughed, "I'll see yall later."
Only I could manage to do something so stupid.
This is gonna be so awkward.
After I got dressed, I found myself thinking about the girl from last night. She wasn't like most girls. I usually had to kick the girl out of my house, but she was gone before I even woke up.
I got up to go downstairs, but something on my nightstand caught my eye. It was a necklace. I knew who it belonged to, but I had no idea on how to give back to her. I didn't know her name, number, where's she lived-nothing.
DING DONG! DING DONG! DING DONG! DING DONG!
Nobody but DJ.
I went downstairs with the necklace in hand. I put it on the table, then opened the door.
"Wassup man," DJ said as he walked in.
He sat down at the counter. I couldn't tell if he was tired or mad.
"So what happened last night?" he finally asked, "with Shay."
I just glared at him because just thinking about that girl made my head hurt.
"Where did you find her? You know what she said to me when you walked off? She said she just wanted to be a ball player's baby mama."
He started laughing uncontrollably.
"So what'd you do?" he asked still laughing.
"I walked away from her and sat at the other end of the bar."
"What you do the rest of the night because I didn't see you?"
"I hung out with one of the girls we saw dancing. We danced right beside you and her friend, how'd you not know that?" I said.
"I wasn't paying attention because her friend is bad as fuck! But this ain't about me, what happened after yall danced because I lost you," DJ said.
"We ordered shots and then I brought her back here," I said slowly.
"Blake, I thought we talked about this."
"We did, but your plan failed and I needed a backup," I said.
"Thanks," he said sarcastically.
"No problem ," I said with a sarcastic smile, "now pick a movie."
DJ flopped on the couch and tried to find a movie.
Suddenly, there was a slight knock on the door. When I opened it, there was a girl, dancing, with her back turned. I can only assume she was listening to music since she didn't turn around. I believe it was the girl from last night, so I grabbed her necklace off the table.
When she spun around, she looked me directly in the face. She looked like she was embarrassed. I couldn't hep but smile because she was cute. She took out her earbuds and started to talk.
"Um hi. I don't know if you remember me but I-"
"Is this what you're looking for?" I asked holding the necklace.
"Thank you so much," she said with a big smile and proceeded to put it on, "well bye."
She started to walk away but I didn't want her to leave.
"Hey, do you wanna come inside?" I asked her.
I know it's weird, but I wanted to get to know this girl. Out of nowhere DJ started making some very loud & very unnecessary noises.
She laughed a little, "no thank you. I don't wanna impose."
"You won't. You should come in, please?" I said slightly smiling.
"Well since you asked so nicely, sure," she smiled.
She walked in and I watched her walk to the counter to sit down. I'm actually pretty happy I got to see this girl again, which is weird because I don't care about one night stands. But she was different.
