-Impressions-

Today was first day of school after summer break. I woke up early like always even thought I would be finished in like 10 minutes because really all I do is wash my face and do some mouth hygiene, put some clothes on I don't even look at before and brush my hair that has grown way to long. Then I made my way outdoor. It was still dark outside, since it was only 5.47 am. But during my way to school the sun started to make her way up and brightened England.

It was 6 o'clock when I arrived at school and hurried down the corridors to my first lesson which happened to be English. I wasn't really a fan of school. My grades weren't bad I just didn't like it for obvious reasons.
I pulled out my favourite book "The Fault In Our Stars" by John Green.

"What book are you reading?", Jonah asked me with a dirty little smirk in his face. I looked up at him but didn't dare to speak back to him. "Can't talk? Aw", he laughed at made the whole form chuckle.
How hadn't I realized it was that late already?

The teacher came in and took a seat. Of course it was Mrs Devon. Luck seemed to be on my side this last school year.
Last school year.
I liked the sound of that.
Last.
No more high school dramas, no more annoying people, literally a new life, new, fresh episode of my life.

Back to Mrs Devon.
I despised her. She, with all the make up and the fake blond hair.
Thinking she gets everyone and everything.
"Mrs Appleby, not paying attention again?", Mrs Devon called me out.
"I-i'm sorry, i was paying attention.", I stuttered.

I get extremely uncomfortable when people give me attention. I'd rather live somewhere alone without anyone judging me.
"Well if you were paying attention, what did I say?", she asked with an evil smirk.
"I-"

But before I could answer, someone was knocking on the door. Mrs Devon gave me one last glance before opening the door.
Her sour face immediately changed into the most angelic face on earth.

"Mr Malik! So nice to see you again, come in!"
Mr Malik?

A young man, maybe around 20, entered the door and gave a short smile to everyone.
But who was he? And what did he want?

"Hello class! My name is Mr Malik and I will be your assistant English teacher for your last year of high school. This is my first year as a teacher and I'm really excited for it! For the first few weeks I'll just watch your main English teacher Mrs Devon teaching you to get an impression of you and to get some ideas for teaching methods. I'll just sit there in the last row... is it okay with you if I sit in your row? Why are you sitting there all alone anyway? Don't you wanna go to the front? There's a free seat!"

Was he talking to me?

"Oh uhm no it's okay if you sit here I prefer this seat better than the one in the front.", I answer him with a shaky voice.

He smiles at me shortly and takes a seat two chairs to me right. I could smell his posh perfume all the way from there.

The class chuckled at me again but neither of us paid attention to that.

"Okay class well where were we..." "You were asking little miss ‘I prefer the seat in the back' if she was paying attention", Jonah answered Mrs Devon.

To my surprise she let it drop and carried on. She told us our themes this year, which would be modern poems, creative writing, authors and drama. All in one very interesting.

As Mrs Devon was talking about random stuff that didn't have anything to do with school I began drawing doodles on a blank paper.

"Shouldn't you be paying attention?", Mr Malik suddenly whispered to me with a warm smile.
I was so drawn into editing my little random doodles that I totally forgot about Mr Malik being only 2 seats away.
