20 (First Chapter)- A New Fate |Episode 5|

You clasped your hands in front of you, slightly clapping them, "Excellent, he'll be happy to hear that-"

His eyes widened as his head snap towards you "My- my lady, I didn't-"

"Hm?" You smiled a sarcastic smile, "Have a nice journey back."

Before he could say anything else, you slapped the horses rear, making it neigh and run back down the rocky trail.

You sighed turning around, "So ungrateful." you looked at them again seeing as they seemed to be shocked. You fidgeted this the ring on your right hand. It was your mother's and tended to be more of a comfortable item than an accessory.

You have learned that people seemed to be shocked by your behavior but it's not like your doing anything wrong. In this case, you quite literally did not do anything wrong. You just say what comes to mind and it's usually correct. Sarcasm seemed to be your best talent. Medication wasn't your best subject but you still, kinda, enjoyed it.

"Well," said Zen, "Nice to meet you Y/n."

YOU ALL WALKED INTO the stone castle it wasn't that big compared to the castle you lived in but it was cozy. It was different, and you liked it for that.

They showed you everything, from the empty rooms to the rooms filled with sick men.
There were cobwebs hanging from every corner, the castle was unkept since all the men fell ill, causing dust to fill any and all empty creases.

"So, are you close to the king?" Mitsuhide questioned as Zen was showing you to where your partners, Shirrayuki and Ryuu where.

"I'm the royal families doctor. I've been trained in the castle for as long as I can remember." You said. Mitsuhide was edging on your nerves, he didn't need to question you nor did you have to respond. His spontaneous and unrelated questions were not upon your fancy.

"And your how ol-"

"15, for God's sake" you said stopping in your tracks, "I am 15 years old." you repeated, hoping this time, he would remember it.

Mitsuhide seem to understand your irritated tone and decided it to be best to back off.
He had been questioning you before you could even introduce yourself to the group, repeating the dullest questions over again as if he had forgotten them.

You continued walking as Kiki fell from Zen's side and began walking beside you.
She put a strand of hair behind her ear, "So, ice breaker question, "she paused to see your reaction, "What inspired you to be a doctor?" she asked.

You sighed, you were hungry and tired. Again, with the questions, they had no need to get to know you. Maybe they had kind intentions, but your attention span and annoyance tolerance were both lowering.

"I wouldn't consider anything to have inspired me. My parents were doctors, and it's all I know."

Before Kiki could respond Zen spoke up.
"We're here." You were greeted with a thick wooden door, "Just walk right in," he said with a nod then walked away.
Kiki gave you a warm smile before turning around to catch up with Zen and Mitsuhide.

You took a deep breath, you were smart... but social greetings, not your thing. You thought back to your greeting with Zen, you hadn't even gotten a chance to probably introduce yourself to them. "Gosh," you rubbed your forehead, "sleep sounds so good right now."
