I slammed my laptop shut. I shook in fear, knowing that I had been a witch this whole time without knowing. All this time I didn't know what I could do. I decided the only way to know for sure if it was true, was to test it. But if I let anybody see it by mistake, I would become a science experiment. My mother probably already knows or expects for me to be a witch. After all, she had told me the bedtime "stories" of her childhood. I assume she's one, too. I started by trying to make a flame and my hand. After concentrating hard, a small blue flame appeared on my hand.
"No way..." I whispered to myself. Just then, I heard a door slam.
"Aria, I'm home!" My mother called from downstairs.
"Mom!" I answered. "I'm a witch!" I jumped and hovered down the stairs and grinned.
"You've been a witch your whole life!" My mother exclaimed. "But if I had told you before you were twelve, you would have been too young." I smiled at my mother and went into the backyard to set up some targets.
I aimed and fired many things, ice, fire, lightning, etc. Then I started to think.
"Why is this so casual for me?" I asked myself as I hurled a ball of fire towards the trash can lid. "It isn't like I've known beforehand." I said while I moved a fallen tree branch with a raised hand.
"Aria," my Mother called from the kitchen window. "I've been thinking. Come inside." I nodded and dropped the branch.
"Darling, I think it's best for you to train... Elsewhere."
I stood in my seat. "What!? How far away!?"
"I'll explain once I make a few calls." Then she turned and left.
Authors Note:
Woah! It's getting pretty intense, guys! I hope you like my writing. I'm sorry I make them so short, but I hope they aren't awful... XD
Lots of love,
