It's been three years since I joined sabretooth. People always say time flies, but jeez it really did. Sting and I moved in together almost the second I joined the guild. Sure we got on each other's nerves, LIKE THE FACT THAT HE CAN'T PICK UP HIS SOCKS, but we still loved each other. And, there wouldn't be anywhere else I would rather be, than with him.
"Y/N~ We're going to Fairytail today!" Sting called out as he walked into our shared apartment.
I turned around to look at him in confusion. I put down the shirt that I was in the middle of folding and walked towards him. "I was going to go tomorrow, plus don't you have work?" I smiled as I wrapped my arms around his neck, placing a small kiss on his lips.
"I just thought I could join you! Plus the rest of the guild want's to come," He smiled back at me as he wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Oh, it'll be nice to have everyone together." I started walking away to grab my bag, I looked back to see sting pull a small box out of his pocket, open it, smile and shove it back in his pocket. It was a small velvet box, only the size of the palm of your hand. It was probably something for work, being guild master and all.
I lent on Sting's shoulder as I tried to keep myself from vomiting on the train. We wouldn't get off the train fast enough once it stopped. We all walked in a massive huddle and we laughed and joked around as we walked to fairytail. It was probably the weirdest thing ever. Almost all of the Sabertooth guild walking down a street together.
When we arrived at the guild, everyone at fairytail was dressed in the best clothes they had. I hadn't actually noticed but so was everyone from Sabertooth, what the heck is going on. I smiled as I ran around, hugging all of my old family. I mean they were still my family, but I just had a bigger family now.
Lucy walked up to me, a small perfectly wrapped white pastel in her hands, It was probably only the size of a photo frame. She didn't say a thing, just handed it over and walked away. Soon Mira walked up to me, holding an identical pastel, just slightly bigger. Natsu walked up to me next, once again holding a white pastel. I laughed slightly as I looked under the wrapping to see it slightly burnt.
"What is going on?!" I laughed as I looked at the presents I was holding.
"Just... open them..."Sting muttered as he uncomfortably shifted on his feet. I looked at him in confusion and opened up the first present. It was a photo frame, a single leaf and pink flower preserved behind its glass. "It's from the-" Sting started before I cut him off
"The bridge you asked me to be your mate on," I smiled as I looked down at it, with fond memories. I looked down at the next present, I pulled off the paper and let out a loud laugh. "It's a photo of us and Chelsea, the day we babysat her."
"The day I fell hopelessly love with you," He smiled. I blushed and tried not to jump into his arms, and kiss his stupid face. "One more~" He mocked as he gestured to the final package in my arms. I turned away from everyone else, I didn't know why, but I just did.
I peeled away the packaging, I knitted my eyebrows together in confusion, I tilted my head to the side in confusion, I had no idea what this was. ' ǝɯ ʎɹɹɐɯ noʎ llᴉM 'N/˥ N/⅄' was that even English?
"Read it upside down," Sting said from behind me, I couldn't see him, but I could tell he was smiling
I slowly turned the frame upside down, reading the words out loud. "Y/N L/N will you... marry... me." My eyes widened as I read the words in the frame. Surely I read that wrong? I turned back around, I was expecting to see the guild standing behind me like they were before, but everyone had stepped back, forming a semi-circle around me and the one other person in front of me - Sting.
He was kneeling in the middle of the guild, on one knee, a small blue velvet box in his hands. The box I had seen before.
"T... This isn't happening." My hands flew to my face as I tried to wipe the tears that were welling up in my eyes.
"It is," Sting smiled as he shifted around slightly on his knees, trying to get comfortable. "I love you more than I could ever say, but I'm going to try," He laughed slightly. "Y/N... before I met you, I thought I'd never settle down with someone. That love just wasn't for me, then you came into my life." He looked into my eyes, his fear evident. "You change my entire life."
"I'm going to cry" I sobbed into my hands as I covered my face. Natsu yelled that I already was, causing me to laugh weakly.
"Y/N, you are the funniest, kindest, prettiest, most perfect girl I have ever met," He took a deep sigh, trying to calm his nerves. "love you so much. I couldn't bear to be apart from you... so will you make me the happiest man in the world." I finally opened the box, a small ocean blue diamond, it reminded me of my magic... oh that's probably why he bought it. "And marry me?"
I tried to stop by crying for a single second, hoping I could give him an answer, but all I could do was stutter out fragments of a sentence as I cried. I eventually just gave up and nodded frantically. I heard him breathe a sigh of relief and stand up, pulling the ring out of the box and slipping it on my finger.
I felt my heart swell up with happiness as I looked down at my hand. "I love you so much," I whispered as I grabbed the sides of his face and pressed my lips to his, it was so full of love and passion.
"I love you so much, too," He whispered between chaste kisses. I pressed my forehead to his as we stared deeply into each other's eyes.
"WOOOO!!" The two guilds started yelling as we were snapped out of our daze. "CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR ENGAGEMENT!!" Everyone yelled and they all hugged us.
Today has definitely been the best day of my entire life. I smiled down at my ring as it glistened in the sunlight. My heart was so full of love and all I could think about much I loved Sting, and how happy I was.
