"It's so lovely in here", I said, looking out the window. We had an incredible view to Oxford Circus, it was a busy day and there were many res buses passing by as well as tourist. We were sitting at this small little cafe on a third floor, having brunch.
"Lovely, like you", he threw in the compliment without breaking eye contact with me. I only smiled and felt I blushed a little, covering it by taking a sip from my mimosa. He smiled at me sweetly after seeing my reaction. We finished our brunch, and he didn't let me pay the bill - as usual.
We walked side by side, we took a 20 minute walk to Hyde Park. His hand would brush against mine slightly every now and then, and my urge of taking his hand was immense, but I contained myself.
There were some summer events going on in the park, so we took some time to immerse ourselves in them - have a good time until it was time to go to the concert. We both appreciated the art and music that was going on, heck, we even had some free food and beverages. I can't complain, the day was going great, very smooth.
His sweet smile was there at all times, and you could tell by his eyes that he was having a wonderful day as well. His cute curly hair would get messy at times with the wind, but with a quick fix he'd get it back in his desired position - not like he needed to, though. It was hard to believe that I was getting feelings for him - strong ones that I had never felt before with anyone else in the world. And I've met plenty of people in my life.
We took the tube to get to the stadium, we were there just in time to see the opening act - a small British band that played Indie music, and they were actually really good. Benedict got us beer before the show started; we also were like ten rows away from the stage with this perfect view to the performers, we both were extremely excited about the show. Ben and I had spent the past week listening to Pink Floyd and David Gilmour non-stop, trying to get hyped before the show.
It was going wonderful, we both singing, jumping and dancing along with the live music from the incredible David Gilmour. Song after song, hit after hit, we'd see each other in the eye and smile before we started to sing along with all the breath in our lungs.
Wish You Were Here started and I think the two of us were the most excited people in the entire stadium to sing along to it, and obviously, listen (mostly).
"Oh my god, I love this song!", we both said at the same time. We laughed awkwardly, he looked down at the floor for a moment before returning to my eyes. I love it when he gets shy sometimes. He looked back at me with a smirk on his face and leaned in to kiss me. I let myself go. God only knows how much I wanted it to happen, and I was patiently waiting for the right moment to come - and this was it.
The short kiss felt like hours, my heart was beating faster, finally feeling something new. I circled my arms around his neck, pulling him closer to me as he wrapped his arms around my waist. The kiss felt soft, delivered with true love and innocence. It was true, that him and I really had good chemistry since day one, and maybe we were meant to be. I guess I'll let time show us that.
After the unforgettable concert, we took a cab to his place since it was closer than mine. And he said I could stay over, because it was already late. He got takeout, and we dinned at 2 in the morning in his living room, talking about the concert and laughing every now and then with the telly on because why not.
With a slight yawn I let him know that I was tired, "Bed?", I said, waiting for answers. I didn't know if I was staying in a guest room or where. His house was big, and very pretty as well. He clearly didn't get in charge of the decoration of the place, but whoever did, was pretty good at it. Even though the place was big, it felt cozy, like at home. And it was also modern, with smart TVs and even a smart fridge! Why did he even need a smart fridge? I don't know, but it was kind of cool.
I followed him upstairs, as he showed me his place real quick, "This is uh, a guest room but you can sleep with me", he stopped walking and looked at me, "Don't by shy, a king bed is big enough for five people to sleep in", he winked at me.
"Don't steal my words!", I said as I laughed. And so I followed him to his room. It was plain and simple: A bed with white covers, two night stands, a flat screen and two other doors: One leading to the bathroom, the other to the closet.
He sat on his side of the bed, so I sat on the other. The curtains were down, but I bet his room had a wonderful view to the city. I left my earrings, watch and necklace on the night table as I got my shoes off.
"Mind me, I can lend you some clothes for you to sleep in if you'd like", I agreed with him, so he got me one of his tee shirts and some pajama pants of his too. They were so comfortable, I could steal all his clothes and wear them as my pajamas. We got in bed, I rested my head on his bare chest, listening to his heart beat as he ran his hand through my hair.
"Is this really happening?", I sort of murmured, half asleep.
"What is happening?", he stopped playing with my hair. I moved to his side, to see him in the eye.
"This. You and I?", I wanted to know if he was interested in being in a relationship as well, if not, then I would not stay there and lose my time. He looked at me for a moment, and smiled.
"I've been thinking about it for a while now", he looked up to the ceiling, "And just let me be clear with this", he looked back at me, "I like you and I want you to be mine... If-if you'd want that too", he went shy again, "But maybe you want to give us more time to, you know, start or whatever you think. I'm cool, you're cool, I'm cool", he frowned, "I don't even know what I am saying anymore", I laughed at him, he was so cute. I took his hand and placed it near my heart, still holding it tight.
"My feelings for you are... Indescribable. I've never felt this way before and-", he kissed me without letting me finish my idea. I cuddled with him, and we dozed off to sleep.
