Can You?

This, is the fourth time I'm re-writing this poem. The person who I wrote it for: BE HONOURED. Haha, anyway, hi. I haven't written a poem in super long, so here is one! Valentine's Day has just passed(yes, i know, i still haven't finished that story, I'm sorry) but I can't keep evading love poems, right? So here you go!:) Enjoy!

CAN YOU?:

Can you hear the sound of my heart,

It’s beating very loudly now.

Can you see the blush on my cheeks,

It’s so red, and I don’t know how.

Can you see that silly smile on my face,

Every time you stand near me. 

Can you see me turn away,

And run as fast as I can flee.

Can you feel me seize up in fear,

As you take a step closer to me.

Can you unlock me from the power of your gaze,

So I can ignore my mind’s fervent pleas.

Can you agree with the nonsensical thoughts,

That float around in my head all day.

Can you answer my unspoken questions,

And voice out what I couldn’t say.

Can you fall in love with me,

Right now, at this instance, in this moment.

Can you feel what I feel for you,

And seize the opportunity that’s golden.

Can you take my hand and lead me,

In a slow dance in the rain.

Can you tell me you love me each time,

You think I’m doing the same.

Can you stay right there with me,

Until the very end.

Can you be my lover, my sweetheart,

My dear, my darling; my bestest friend.
