♕ Chapter Twenty ♕ - Be Ready To Loose, Friar.

Start from the beginning

I put the book over my face, letting out a long groan. All I wanted was a life like in the books. Exciting, romantic, something extra. I wanted to feel that rush of excitement. Is it too much to ask for?

I mean, it's not like the most perfect and exciting thing will just appear outside my window, telling me to come out and live life. That's just imagi–

Knock, knock.

Knock, knock.

"Psst, open up!"

I furrow my brows and remove the book from my face. Sitting up on my bed, my eyes land on the green eyed boy on the other side of my window. He looked me in the eyes and gave me a boyish smile of his.

I stand up and make my way over to the window. Opening it slowly I start thinking about what he was doing here. And why did he show up at my window?

"Hey," He breath out, climbing inside.

"Hi..." I say slowly, looking confused.

He gave me a little nod, furrowing his brows. "What? Why are you looking at me like that?"

I shook my head, crossing my arms over my chest. "No reason."

"Okay," He nodded.

I bit the inside of my cheek, looking around my room. I was trying my hardest not to let myself look at him but I couldn't.

I turn my gaze in his direction. "So, um, wh-what exactly are you doing here?"

He shrugged and looked at me. "Thought I'd come pick you up."

I was tack aback, "Pick me up?"

He nodded.

"For what?"

"A date." He chuckled, making it sound like the most obvious answer in the whole world.

"A date?" I raise my eyebrow.

He nods.

"And you usually pick up girls dates coming through her window and not her front door, or what?" I say pointing towards my opened window.

He let out a goofy laugh and scratched his neck, "Yeah, I usually don't do that."

"Yeah?"

He nods his head, chuckling. "Yeah, I just thought it was the best option in this case."

Confused, I furrow my brows. "In this case..?"

"Your dad isn't very...fond of me."

I let out a goofy laugh myself and shake my head, "Now that is true, yes."

He rolled his eyes, trying to hide a smile. "Ha ha, very funny. Are coming or what?"

I bite my lower lip, unsure if it was a good idea to sneak out with a guy my dad didn't like. Not that I did, or well, I was still unsure about that. But still, I couldn't do it. What If they would walk inside here and see my room empty when I told them one hour ago I was going to room to read. They always check up on me time to time.

I shook my head, "I can't."

"Why?"

"Because," I hesitate.

He took a step closer to me, "Not a good reason, Shaky."

I look down at my feet. "Because...my parents-"

"They won't know you left the room." He assured me, smiling.

"Of course they will, idiot. They aren't stupid." I say, rolling my eyes.
