Bob Moretti is a hardworking and dedicated business professional who has worked as an architectural specialist at Tremco Roofing and Building Maintenance for nearly four years.
He says that when he isn't at work he enjoys completing home improvement projects. "I'm currently working on replacing the carpeting in our basement with tile," he says. "Other summer projects I have lined up include the remodeling of two of our bathrooms."
Such remodeling projects to a lot to increase the value of a home, and if you have the skills to do it yourself you can save a lot of money in the process. Many experts say that remodeling kitchens and bathrooms are sure-fire home investments. But remodeling a bathroom, as Bob Moretti is planning to do, is no small undertaking. Depending on the nature of the project it involves tearing up the existing tiles and picking out new fixtures, toilets, sinks, and bathtubs.
But as Bob Moretti knows, a remodeled bathroom can be a real pleasure when it's done right, and provide him and his family with years of comfort. People with experience say that it's usually a good idea for go all-out on the shower. They advise creating larger shower spaces and installing his and her showerheads and plenty of shelf space on which to store shampoos and other products that get a lot of use in the shower.
A good rule of thumb for creating a luxury shower is to use a four foot by six foot space at a minimum. If you can use more space then it is becoming popular to create an L-shaped shower, which enables you to do away with the door; that can eliminate a sizeable cost.
