"I'm holding on your rope got me ten feet off the ground

And I'm hearing what you say but I just can't make a sound

You tell me that you need me then you go and cut me down

But wait

You tell me that you're sorry

Didn't think I'd turn around and say

It's too late to apologize."

"So how is this supposed to work?" She asked after she had calmed down from the fight we had 5 minutes ago.

"How is what supposed to work?" I asked for clarification, sitting in one of the hanging chairs while she sat at the other side of the room laying upside down on the couch.

"The whole staying here together while we still have feelings for eachother thing." She clarified.

"Well if you just broke up with him then we wouldn't have to work out anything." I grumbled. It was Saturday morning and we had been at this since about 8 am and now it was almost noon.

"Yeah I'm sure that jay would just love that idea." She countered back wittily.

"I can't break through to you that you are the only one that I actually want." I said slowly, meeting her green eyes with my blue ones.

"I know how about we friendzone eachother. Then we can be good friends while we have partners. So than we could still be close but not physical. Except we will have to take turns sleeping on the couch since we obviously can't sleep in the same bed anymore." Cynthia suggested.

"That's actually not a bad idea. Except the whole sleeping arrangements. You'd fall off the couch with how crazy you sleep" I said grinning. She laughed and smiled at me finally.

"I will take the couch and you can have the bed." I responded going into the kitchen and pouring us bowls of life cereal.

"Deal. You better let me pour my own milk." She threatened.

We went on about our morning a lot more normally now. But her date with caleb started at 2.

"So what are you doing for your date?" I asked trying to sound normal.

"Probably food. Then just hang out. What about you ?" She asked .

"We're going to the flower gardens." I said making a weird face.

"Doesn't really seem like your thing." She answered turning on some music as she went to go get ready.

"It isn't" I answered going to get ready myself.

"Then why are you doing it?" She asked from the bathroom.

"Because I made a commitment and I'm going to stick to it as long as you stick to yours." I answered pulling on some light jeans.

"Whatever" She said. I pulled on a grey v-neck and put on my socks.

She came into the room to get dressed and I left the room to change the music because it was on a song that neither of us liked. I sprayed on some cologne and shaved my face. The doorbell rang. I went to answer it and it was jay.

"Hey boyfriend looking hot." She said estatically. She was wearing a pink jacket with a black tank top underneath. Her legs were in a pair of white skinny jeans and some black boots.

"You too" I said as I grabbed my jacket. "Ready?" I asked. "Yeah" She replied and I headed out the door.

I heard Erik leave the house and I plopped onto the bed. It was 15 minutes until two and I guess I looked pretty good. A blue button up plaid shirt with a grey pair of skinny jeans and my DC's. My hair was put into a ponytail and it looked really sleek. Caleb came but we didn't really go anywhere. We just drove to his house.
