Righto, so anyhoo, for the last week or so, I have been OBSESSED with hair blogs, videos and blah blah. Decided I'd start a TAG for this Kinks Galore- everyone can do one :)
So it started with a bawsy child called Maureen. She told me about Streetgirl09 's amazing blog; Kinks Galore. And i just got this buzz. So the next day I went to the beauty/hair shop aka black girl heaven and these are the products I got; (i think those are the prices)

I know ORS are quite popular so i was okay with it. Initially, i was gonna get Motions but then my dear mother pointed out ORS because I'd mentioned getting products with Olive Oil or Coconut Oil. A little tiny thing that scared me with Motions is that it's for professional use, and though it wouldnt have bothered me before I AM ON THIS TINGGGG so I don't wanna take any risks.
The first thing I looked for in a moisturiser was that it was water based, which ORS Incredibly Rich is. Previously i had used all sorts of petroleum based products like Indian hemp and the infamous Blue Magic. While i did see hair growth, it wasn't alot, and whenever I wanted to moisturise my hair instead of just scalp, it became an issue.
I currently have extentions in and this is where me and streetgirl09 are completely different; I MISS MY HAIR SOOO BAD. I want to rip these single plaits out of my head and feel the goodness but i can't because I have so many performance coming up and blah blah. I've had them in since New Years and I've washed them - yes i washed them- and re-done the front.
I just reaaaly wanted to start using the Aloe Shampoo. Previously, for some deranged reason i ran out of poo and conditioner so I got 99p store shampoo. 99P STORE. I was with my mum and i was like, i need shampoo so i got one nonsense one called Mess Head.
MESS HEAD, Can you imagine? So now I'm only using the 3 products above + IC Olive Oil Heat Protector. Also, every night, I put Olive Oil on my scalp. I also have Almond oil in my house but i thought i might aswell stick to Olive Oil Products. Some people don't mind but i personally recommend using everything in one line to start.
However, if a particular product works better for you, then go ahead : )
As soon as I get this plastic nonsense off my head, Imma wash it, deep condition with the Replenishing Conditioner and 1 raw egg. I'll cover my hair with a shower cap -or a plastic bag if my hairs too big- for tops an hour. Then, I'll heat protect it and blow it out before dusting the ends. I don't know if people actually cut each individual hair but that's LONG TINGS RIGHH DERE *Aff voice.
So me? Imma just do it in small sections. Btw if you haven't read Kinks Galore or just dont know, dusting is cutting invividual hairs with split ends. So I'll do that and then do a braid out with about 8- 10 braids and run Olive Oil or Moisturiser in it.
I saw some Intensive hair oil in my house and got excited before i realised it has the deadly Mineral Oil ._.
The Big Chop
Alot of relaxer girls just go for the Big Chop. It's not that scary! My girl Jai aka nyx-redbird did it and I'm sure you'll agree she looks sugarryyyyyy! However if you cant, then I suggest starting by cutting a good inch or two off. Re-growth can look nasty but hopefully a good deep-conditioner can help that. WARNING: you may be temped to straighten it or something to make the regrowth look less ridiculous but that will only cause heat damage, meaning you'll have to chop it off!
