July 21, 2016

It's been a week since Matthew's 19th birthday party. Nothing interesting happened last week. I'm stressing out though, I've been up writing my college applications.

Yep, August is around the corner. So college year is coming up. I wrote some applications to different colleges, just incase I don't get accepted. When I was done with my applications I sent them. I was so nervous and excited at the same time.

My parents were proud of me. I was proud of myself too of what I've become.

"Do you think they will accept me?" I nervously asked my parents who are cooking lunch.

"I'm going to be honest with you, kid. I have no idea. I mean, you are the smartest and brightest person I know." My dad cracks an egg with one hand. Ooh damn, he a pro.

"You had good grades back in High school. Why wouldn't they accept you?" My mom says.

"I'm just nervous and scared, that's all." I deeply sighed

"Don't stress yourself, okay?" My mom smiles at me before pulling me into a hug.

"She's right, kiddo." My dad points out.

"I'm always right." My mom joked, I chuckled and nodded. "Why don't we go out tomorrow and spend time as a family, yeah? We can eat at your favorite restaurant." She grins at me.

"Doesn't sound like a bad idea to me." A big grin appeared on my face.

"Alright then! I'll let your dad know." I nod. "You should invite Matt and his par- mother." She said.

"Sure, I'll go call him." Then I walk up to my room dialing Matthew's number. When it rang 3 times, he picked up.

"Hey, babe." He says munching on something.

"Hi." I squeaked.

"What's up?" He burped. Pinche cochino.

"I called you because I wanted to ask you if you would like to attend a dinner night tomorrow with my family. You can invite your mother too!" I added.

"Dinner? Where at?" I roll my eyes and smiled.

"Does it matter?" I giggled.

"Um, yes it matters. What if I don't like the food in that restaurant, huh? What if I'm allergic to so-" I cut him off. Gosh, this child.

"Okay, okay you can stop now." I laughs. "I haven't thought about it. I mean, I want Sizzler."

"Yeah pick sizzler! That steak shit is good." I heard him moan.

"Sizzler it is. So you comin?" I jumped on my bed and turned on the tv.

"Yes, we would love too." The smile on my face grew bigger.

"Great! I'll let my parents know." I kicked my feet in the air in excitement.

"Alright, goodbye baby." Gosh my heart.
