You looked over to see a plump student sitting on the other side of the bench. You examined him head to toe. He didn't look like a nerd. But he cannot be a jock... So what is he?

Just as you finished thinking your sentence the school bell rang. You grabbed some of your books for your first period and kept a lookout for classroom E2. Your eyes scanned along the long walls of the hallway until you saw other students gathering around, pushing/giving way to others who were trying to get into the classroom.

You waited for other students to force their way in and watched as they all clumsily entered through the doorway. You were the last trickle of the swarm that had the unfortunate shame of being in the centre of attention. The last spare seats were randomly spread across the classroom.

You chose a seat near the front to keep you awake. You set your books neatly across the table and organised your pencils, eraser and folder in an orderly fashion. 'This is how this should be' You thought.

"All right, settle down class," The Teacher said, announcing his presence. "I hope you all had a great holiday because I had some good time with my family. Since your first period, today is English I am going to ask you to write a quick summary, report or recount about your holidays. This will not be graded, all I am asking you is to awaken your English mind before heading into our lesson for today." The teacher gladly passed out some lined paper to all the students.

You smiled and accepted the A4 sheet of paper and waited for your extremely nice teacher to be at the front again. "You may begin. I'll give you all about ten to fifteen minutes."

Your mind raced with the main events of your holidays. The time when your dog knocked over the Christmas tree, when your mother nearly burnt the Turkey, when your sibling screamed running into your room to wake you up on Christmas day and the times when you slept in all the way to midday.

The time was up too soon for you. English was your speciality. If anyone handed you a notebook when you had an idea, you would easily be able to scribble two sheets worth of writing. You handed your paper back with a frown knowing you could have written more. "Thank you, thank you, thank you" The teacher smiled, receiving all the sheets of paper.

The teacher walked back to his desk and examined the papers one by one. While he studied each paper, the rest of the class started to buzz with chatter.

"I am a man who does not like to waste time, talking is a good way to make friends, but not during my class. If you are looking for something to do then I suggest your review last year's textbook because there is a pop quiz that is going to take place soon, so get studying" The teacher warned.

A chorus of sighs, complains and groans flooded the room. Our teacher gave us a glare before grabbing a small stack of paper to hand out our pop quizzes. Suddenly a small piece of paper found its way on my desk. I frowned and opened up the scrunched note:

Can you please turn around?

I frowned and looked over my shoulder, scanning the classroom for anyone who might have thrown that note. No one was making eye contact and quite a few were looking forward, either talking to someone in front of them or dozing off. After a few seconds of searching, you shrugged and returned your attention to the class.

...

This was not good. You were distracted. That note that came out of nowhere was drilled, welded and stuck to your mind with utter curiosity. Do you know why? Because in every class, a different note would appear. There were quite a few people who happened to be in the same classes as you so suspects varied.

An interview would be too direct, but hunting subtly was not your forte either. How you would catch your little culprit occupied your mind through the whole day! You probably didn't learn anything because of those notes! They just appear out of nowhere, like an invisible hand dropped them off or something.

"Ahem, excuse me," A voice said.

"Huh?" You asked, flicking your head towards the voice. "Oh I know you," You said.

"You do?" The boy asked.

"Yeah, you're the one aren't you?" You guessed.

"Uh..." The boy stammered, getting hot and sweaty all of a sudden.

"Yeah, you're the one who's in all my classes," You said.

"Oh! Right! Yeah, that's me" The boy smiled

"Yeah, you're the one throwing all these notes aren't you?" You grinned, displaying all the notes that were thrown at you.

"How did you know?" The boy gasped, paling at your knowledge.

"I didn't," You smiled, gathering the notes in a small pile. "I guessed and you told me" You grinned. You could have sworn that the boy blushed slightly when you smiled. You already knew that he had a crush on you. Notes on the first day of school were so cliché and cheesy.

"Did you read them?" He asked.

"Yeah, they said:

Can you please turn around?

What's a go-kart?

Look out

Do you have a pencil with you?

Have you found me?

33264, clue: 3rd, 3rd, 2nd, 6th, 4th

"Have you figured it out yet?" He asked. You frowned and shook your head in response. "Third word of the first sentence, then the third of the second and so on and so forth" The boy explained. You flicked your eyes back on the pieces of paper and mental interpreted the message, 'Please go out with me.'

"You're asking me on a date?" You asked.

"Yeah, but you don't have to go if you don't want to" The boy stammered.

"No, I'll say yes, but don't you think it would be better if we became friends first before going out? You don't even know my name Hunk" You stated.

"How, how did you know my name?" Hunk gaped.

"I'm a writer and a person of knowledge, I know everything" You smiled.
