The Enterprise was docked on a federation planet for  some repairs after recent fighting the ship and gone through. A whole section of the ship was closed for repairs and people were having to share rooms until the damage could be fixed.

You had ended up having to stay with your boss, Dr. Leonard McCoy. The two of you didn't know each other well, but you got placed in his room because the two of you have the same work schedule, you were a nurse who was fairly new on board.

The first day or so were peaceful, and then the two of you were forced to actually interact. By the fourth day, it was chaos.

"(Y/n)! Where did my PADD charger go?" McCoy yelled at you from his room.

"It's on the counter!" You yelled back from the living room where you had tried to sleep the night before, the couch was very uncomfortable.

"Why would it be there?" McCoy grumbled while going and finding the cord.

"Because I used it," you told him.

"I never said you could."

"I never asked."

"You should ask me to use my things!" He told you.

"You weren't even using it!" You explained.

"It's still my cord!"

"That's it, I'm going to breakfast," you muttered before storming or of the room. The two of you ignored each other all day in sick bay. Everything was calm until you got home again.

You got ready for bed and went to go to sleep on the bed in the bed room, the two of you had been taking turns with the bed and couch.

"What are you doing?" McCoy asked when he saw you in bed.

"Going to sleep"

"Why are you in the bed?"

"It's my night to sleep here," you said, "you can sleep on the couch."

"Nope not happening," he said before climbing into the other side of the bed.

"What are you doing?" you questioned.

"Sleeping in my bed," he demanded.

"Fine," you muttered before the both of you fell asleep, as far apart as you could be in the bed. When you woke up to your alarm in the morning you and McCoy were snuggled up together. You tried to move but his arms were wrapped around you too tight.

You tried to talk to him  and even hit him to wake him up but he didn't budge, he was a very heavy sleeper. Finally you gave up and just went to sleep, knowing his internal clock would wake him soon enough. You woke up soon to a scream.

"What happened? Who's dead?" You yelled while sitting up in bed.

"We were cuddling," McCoy mumbled.

"Was that such a bad thing?" You asked.

"No, it's just that uh I uh you see.."

"Spit it out Bones what is it?" You asked impatiently.

"You called me Bones, you never call me Bones," he said.

"I realize that now what were you trying to say?"

"Well uh the thing is that..." he trailed off, speaking so quietly you couldn't hear.

"Please repeat yourself, louder this time."

"I like you, ok, you're such a frustrating human but so cute at the same time!" Bones practically yelled at you.

"You're pretty cute yourself, even if you are a super difficult person," you admitted. Bones smiled at you brightly.

"(Y/n), would you be my girlfriend?"

"Yes, I would like that." The two of you smiled at each other before realizing the time and rushing to get ready.

"Where did you move my shirt to?" You asked.

"I didn't move it you did!" McCoy yelled back. The two of you were bound to fight, you were both bold and kinda pessimistic people, but at the end of the day you did like each other, even if you weren't good at showing it.
