C h a p t e r 4

"I've seen the monsters still in the underground. They've CHANGED now! They realized that monsters and humans could have a future living in harmony! But the king won't listen to us. You have to come back with us, because Asgore trusts you. Please, the rest of us believe in you, Y/N!"

Your POV

I sigh sadly. I absolutely hated it in the underground. But Papyrus is trusted and strong and would help me if things were to go sour, and I know he would.

I put my head down. "Papyrus, I'll go with you. Just... promise that I won't be in any danger."

Papyrus gave a small nod and he heaved himself off the ground. He turned to face me and held out his bony hand for me to take. I do, and he helps me off the cold stone floor.

He led me through the crowd, some of the monsters and humans gave confused looks and others ignored us entirely. 

I was all too used to being ignored, abandon. My angel of a mother passed away when I was only 8 years old, leaving me with a terrible father, who took to drinking to escape his feelings. I feel bad, though, for my parents loved each other very much. But when my mom passed away...

It is all too hard to think about it now... besides, I have the present to think about... and speaking about the present...

"Oh, (Y/N). I'm sorry to intrude your thoughts, but you almost ran into the wall..."

I looked up in surprise, for a vaguely familiar voice coming from just behind the corner I almost ran into.

"S-"

"Nah ah ah, Sweet-cheeks. Not right here, not right now. We need to be quick, like now."

Papyrus still had a good grip on my wrist, and Sans joined in holding my other.Before we knew it, quite literally, we were at the entrance to the underground.
