He sat and listened as her thick accent poured from her mouth, her sorrows drowning underneath it. Usually, The Flash was the fastest man alive, but with Wanda, he took all the time in the world. Her brother had only died a few months ago, but she still managed every once in awhile to take time out of her day to vent to Barry about all her favorite memories with him. And Barry listened with content. It was at that point where Wanda's eyes began filling with tears and at Flash speed, Barry fetched a tissue and wiped her eyes dry before the first tear even slipped off her face.
"Thank you, Barry," she said, running her fingers slightly across his jawline.
"You're beautiful when you cry, but I hate seeing you upset," Barry muttered slightly. After about thirty seconds of holding hands in silence, Barry's phone buzzed.
It was Cisco.
It read, "Meta on 4th Ave, bank robbery, 6 hostages & bring in SW for this one, this meta is a doozy."
"It's Cisco, we've got a meta situation." Barry said, almost out the door.
"Do you need me for this one?" Wanda asked meekly, still trying to recompose herself from the crying incident.
"Yeah, I do. I always need you, baby."
"That was so cheesy," Wanda laughed at him, forgetting all about the tears.
"Whatever," Barry scoffed, "Now come on, we gotta go!" And with that, he lifted Wanda off her feet and sped away, the wind slamming the door shut behind them.
