RECAP:

"How was it?"

"Amazing," I avowed in a loud tone that emphasized on my energy.

"Good. The power will only last for about an hour before it wears off completely so get some food in your system. Although you have blood in you, you are still human. And humans need nutrients. You have been drained completely of yours and your body is starving. Go," he pushed himself away from the bars and started walking back. At the second he turned his head over his shoulder with a smug expression on his face. "See you soon...little vampire."

****************************************************************

With that he hurried off in a flash, disappearing before I could question his words.

In one swift motion, I was standing calling after the vampire man. What did he mean little vampire? Was he implying that I'd become one and go to his vampire school? Why'd he say he's see me...? And soon? The thoughts were wearing me down. Already, I could feel his words becoming truthful. The energy was fading as I stood my ground.

Browsing over my setting, I noticed the significant difference in light. The sun had intensified it's shine as it was raised almost completely over the horizon, signaling a wake up call for people. It must've been around six a.m. now. Which meant...

Twisting my head around I saw the some of the McDonald's staff walking in and unlocking the doors. My entire body jumped with joy and hunger. I couldn't help but let out a tiny squeal when I smelt the familiar smell of fresh bagel meals. Hurrying down the street and across the road, I practically ran into the fast-food restaurant. The sound of police and ambulances were cut off almost immediately when I stepped into the cool air.

The cashier stared lazily at me as if she had been working all day already and just wanted to get her ass home. As I moved over to her, flaunting my newfound energy she scowled and sized me. Stepping up to the counter, I placed my hands on the cool stone and tapped my fingers across the surface, wondering what I should get to eat. Lowering my eyes, I analyzed the cashier curiously.

She had obviously died and fading blonde hair that was pulled tightly into a ponytail at the back of her head. Her bizarrely white face was soft and round with a little baby fat in her cheeks, making her plump rosy red lips seem natural. The cashier had eyes that were blue with specks of green in them, that somehow drew attention from her curvy body. Underneath the McDonald's uniform it was noticeable that it wasn't the shirt making her busts look big. Drawing my eyes away from her body I noticed her name was Beth.

The cashier, Beth cleared her throat and I smiled, in an irritated way. "Do you know what you want or what?"

"Yeah," I turned my head and stretched my neck up to get a better view of the words and I heard the girl gasp. Ignoring her, "I want a-"

"Omigod! You too," Beth yelled excitedly.

"What?" I gazed back at her. She tugged at the collar of her shirt, exposing her bite marks.

"You got bit too!" Her voice was lowered but full of all the enthusiasm as before. "How'd it happen for you! I was at a feeder's party and we all got high off the bites! It ended like an hour ago but the bite is still here," she gave a wide grin.

"Uh...mine didn't happen the same as yours did...," my eyes dropped and I felt tears well up at my eyelashes just thinking about Ms. Hafer's dead body. The sadness quickly dissolved once I thought of the vampire who did it and how he bit me.
