CHARLES'S POV

I groan as I drop my head down on my desk. I knew it wasn't a smart idea to hide what I have been doing behind Mason's back, now it has come to bite me in the ass. But how do you tell someone that you are having a house built for you and your future family, if you just met? I don't want to scare him off, I know my family is already too much for him, and now he is handling Ashton's break down all by himself. I just can never find the right time to tell him, so I hid it, and its completely going against my plan.

It was suppose to bring us closer, a place where we could escape my crazy ass family that is over half the pack itself, and a place where we could raise our pups, a home.

I don't resent my father's for raising me in the pack house, but I didn't feel like it was home. It was where I lived, where my family was, but it didn't have the homey feeling that every person wants to go back to at the end of the day.

I don't want our pups to feel that way. I know most of Mason's and my time will be spent at the pack house, it's my job, honor, duty, to be the alpha, but then, all the troubles wash away on the way home. A place where I'll tuck our pups in, kiss my mate goodnight, and fall asleep with a smile on my face.

Home.

I know I can't wait any longer, I have to tell Mason what has been going on, I have to stop with all the lies, and that scares me the most, because now all my feeling will pour out of my body, and I don't know if I'll be able to stop the unwanted ones from coming out.

"Charles, baby? Are you okay?" Daddy asked as he came in the room. His face was red and puffy, meaning he had just seen Ashton and what he saw he didn't like. I couldn't blame him, the anguish on Ashton's face when Daddy went to touch him, I almost wish I did do something so that I could fix it.

"Yeah Daddy, I'm just thinking about how wrong I've gone while trying to please my mate." I tell him honestly. Even if Daddy is sometimes oblivious to things that are going on, he knows how to give great advice when he finally finds out.

"What did you do?" He asks smugly as he sits down in the chair in front of my desk, the same one Mason sits in everyday when he comes and helps me with pack work.

"I've been building a house, for Mason and I, but I decided I was going to surprise him, but he found out I've been sneaking around and he isn't very......delighted, you coud say." I grumble as I flick away the paper ripped up on my desk. Daddy snorted before sitting back and crossing his thin arms over his small chest.

"Your Father tried to do the same thing, except it was when he was trying to propose, because he said he wanted the whole world, even the government, to know he wanted to marry me, but then he neglected the fact that he had to actually ask me, so after a few months of him sneaking around I finally called him on it, and he told me what he was planning. Of course I would have said yes, but I told him we are mates, and that is much stronger then being married, married people leave eachother all the time, but we're mates, we love eachother for eternity, and that is a whole lot better then being married. But anyways, just tell him, he is probably thinking the worst, and if you want him to trust you, you have to trust him." He stood up quickly before making his way to the door. He turned around and waved for me to follow him.

"Come on, Mason just asked me to find you and bring you to the living room, Ashton is wanting to speak with all of us." I stood up immediately. It hurt that Mason wouldn't link me, but I know he is pissed at me, so I'm not going to holding it against him, for now, at least.
