Kute tapped his foot impatiently, the man he had been told could read the scrawled symbols finished examining them and looked at Kute. Trembling a little.
"I- it's a ritual..a pentagram...for summoning..or something along those lines...-"
Kute stands up from where he is leaning against the wall of the cellar. Taking interest again.
"Can you....make it happen?"
Kute rocks on his heels. Excited by the mysterious curiosity unraveling before him.
The translator fiddles with his glasses.
"I could...maybe help.."
Kute steps closer
"Great! Do it now"
"N-now?!" The translators shocked expression is neglected in the neko's overwhelming enthusiasm.
"Yes! I am going to see this! Whatever the heck all this nonsense means"
Kute takes the man by the shoulders and turns him to face the pentagram.
"Go on. Do it. Don't waste my time..."
The small, nerdy man stammers for a little before starting to perform the ritual. Kute ignores the boring incantations in foreign speech. He goes back to idly meddling with the various objects in the basement.

"U-uh....mister?"
Kute looks up from the goat skull he had been trying to wear as a hat while his two thugs stare blankly at the ceiling and walls.
"Yeah? What is it?"
"Well...I reached the final part...and the...uh...it needs a death...uhhh...a sacrifice...you know?..."
The two guarding thugs stand alert. Looking to each other, then at their employer.
Kute shrugs.
"So. You reached the end right?
The small man nods.
Kute smiles.
"Good good. "
Kute pulls out his anti-material rifle turned pistol, and puts a bullet straight into his chest.
"Thank you for your ser-"
Kute is cut off. The blood splatter hits the pentagram. And the chamber goes silent. The very dead corpse of the innocent and naive man he had hired, is stone still. A little off his feet. Hovering just upright.
The candles have ceased to move - flames no longer flickering. A faint blue glow on the pentagram slowly fades into a burning blue ring of fire. Kute blinks. Confused by the turn of events.
A figure now stands before him. Two yellow glowing eyes on a white, grinning cat mask.
The stranger is shirtless. Showing his slim - but athletic physique and array of dark tattoos that seem to move in little shivering motions every now and then. Blurring and jittering when in the corner of the eye.
The figure is surrounded by an aura of the blue, fire like light. The single expression mask stares at him for a while. Kute looks around the room. His guards are still. Unmoving. A picture of the moment they were frozen. Along with the rest of the visible world.
Kute looks back at the figure.
"Ahem". The voice is distorted. As though multiple copies are overlaid to create a buzzing discarded speech.
"What is the reason you summoned me?" The thing glances round the chamber. Short black hair tossing as he does so.
Kute blinks in shock.
"What are you? Where did you come from?"
It sighs.
"Clearly, there's a long arduous story for why you accidentally brought me about in an unwitting incident like this. But. Judging by you, your little toy and what's in your head...your some kinda wise guy..."
Kute blinks.
The creature holds up a finger.
"Wait for the rant to finish. Questions at the end, kitten."
Kute glares at the figure. Despite the catlike mask and it having neko features. Belittlement is not something he wants to sit through.
"Shh. I can see you angry. But I'm not going to waste time. "
It strolls around Kute in a circle. Studying him. Kute turns to keep a constant eye on the strange being.
"I make deals. That's why people draw pretty pictures in blood for me. Access to the vast rewards me and the like offer. What is me? Well. To people. The word demon. Might be used. That word had strong negative ties. To you. I am simply an offer. An offer of a fortune. Showered with gifts. Things you could only dream of. Fantasies! Tell me if I'm taking your interest.."
Kute nods.
"I'm listening, 'demon'. "
"Call me Agma. It's simple, All that I promise will be delivered. For a very small price. Just a harmless little agreement. Really. It mostly benefits you... mostly.."
Kute nods.
"What's the catch 'Agma'."
"Well. Now I'm here, I need a little place to stay. And even at your size. There's space for us both. You'll hardly notice me...just somewhere to 'hibernate' really...what do you say?"
He extends his hand to Kute. Kute ponders. Before taking the hand.
Kute shakes Agma's hand.
"Deal"
"I knew you were smart...Kute Mimome..."
The small, mortal neko is consumed by a blinding blue light. Kute suddenly feels a little ill. An intangible force seems to make ethereal contact with him. As the blinding light ends. Kute is left alone in the room. Aside from his two bodyguards. And the thud. As the corpse of the translator hits the concrete.
