2 Corinthians 5:17 - "Therefore, whoever is in Christ is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!"
Today, i'll be talking (Typing?) about the old you, and the new you. The old you, which is the person that you were before you accepted Christ as Lord, is the bad side. That's the side that satan yearns to bring forward. The devil loves the old you, he loves how you lived before you had the Holy Spirit in you. He clings to that side of you with every fiber of his being but you can't let him get to you. For the new you is here. When you became saved, you were reborn! Everything about you is brand new! What a wonderful chance that God gave you to start over in life. Yet, you still have your old self. It may be gone in the sense that its buried under your faith, but it'll always be lurking in the shadows. What is that exactly?
The old you, the lurking you, is the temptation that you feel. It's the lies, the sinning way of life, its the side that you will never again wish to see. But you still fight it, every step of the way. The old you is not the way a true Christian should live, and i want everyone out there to know that. It is never to late to become new with Christ. Don't let satan, your doubts, your fears, don't let any of it get inbetween you and who you are with Christ.
Because you are God's creation, not your own.
Song: In Christ alone by Owl City
Çhorus- "In Christ alone, my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My comforter, my all-in-all
Here in the love of Christ I stand"
