"All I'm saying is if he can't find time to do his homework when he has Superspeed. he's doing something wrong!" I laughed, switching my hone from my right ear to the left.

"True, but I can't stay mad at him when he's that adorable." Artemis giggled, I rolled my eyes.

"You're just saying that because you have to. You only got married to him last year." Artemis and Wally had gotten married in June last year, all of us were happy and surprised. I snuck a glance at the clock, "Got to go Artemis. Dick felt bad about the whole Brain situation, so he's taking me out on a date tonight."

I hung up and made my way to my room from my living room. I had showered earlier and currently had just a robe on. I walked to my closet, Dick said to dress formally. I picked out a nice light colored dress, I knew since B.E.M was back I would go back to darker colors. I then sat down in front of my mirror working on my hair and makeup. I had a feeling lipstick wouldn't be the best idea so I avoided putting it on.

Half an hour later I sat back in my chair. I was pretty proud of myself. A knock sounded from the door. I checked the clock, 8:00 PM on the dot. I suppose he couldn't get stuck in traffic when his penthouse was right across from mine.

I stood up, slipped on my shoes, grabbed my purse, and opened the door for Dick. even with heels on he was still an inch or two taller than me.

"(Y/n), you look... beautiful."

"You don't look to bad yourself, shall we go?"

Dick nodded and led me into the elevator. On the way down he intertwined his hand with mine, I smiled at him. The elevator beeped and the doors opened. We stepped out and started walking towards the parking lot.

"Bike or car?" I questioned.

"Guess," he smirked.

We came upon his motorcycle. He handed me a helmet climbing onto the bike. I climbed on behind him, wrapping my arms around his stomach. He was really muscular- which was to be expected since he's Nightwing, but wow!

"We're here," he announced. I took off the helmet and patted down my hair. I linked my arm with his and we walked into the restaurant. A waiter almost immediately came and seated down at a table.

I ordered a (F/d) and (F/f). When our food arrived we ate and talked. It wasn't awkward like most dates could be, we had known each other for around 11 years so there was no lack of comfort in the relationship.

Back in the elevator I leaned against Dick. He leaned in kissing me slowly. I hummed wrapping my arms around his neck. The elevator beeped signaling the doors were going to open. We quickly pulled apart and made our way to our penthouse doors.

I walked into my apartment yawning. I padded into my bedrooms bathroom jumping into the shower. When I came out I brushed my hair and teeth. I slipped into a white nightgown with roses on it, one that matched my necklace- which was sitting on my nightstand. I grabbed a book and sat down on my rooms couch.

A knock on the door brought me out of my trance. I marked my page putting the book down before opening my penthouse door. Dick stood there with a cup of hot chocolate.

"I know you like to stay up late reading, so I brought you something to drink."

I ushered him inside and towards my bedroom. I set down the cup on my coffee table. I turned to face him, he placed his hand on my cheek, his thumb gently rubbing circles. I subconsciously leaned into his touch.

"Your dress matches the necklace." He smiled, his voice quiet and calm.

We leaned in until our noses were touching. Out lips against each others lightly, then pressed against each other, his lips were soft, just like they always had been. They were the only familiar thing in a world that was always changing, in a universe that would never be the same, every second there was a change making things unfamiliar, except this.

My hands made their way to his chest, his hands placed themselves on my waist. I moved so I was sitting on the arm of the couch, now a bit taller than Dick, a dominance that was rarely ever achieved. Dick picked me up, moving me so he was leaning against the back of the couch and I was straddling him.

"Thank you," I whispered.

"For what?"

"For everything, you deserve a kiss for being brave," I kissed him on the cheek, "a kiss for being kind," I kissed on the jaw, "Kiss him for being Dick Grayson." I kissed him on the corner of his mouth.

That was the last straw. He flipped so he was on top of me. He moved his lips down my jaw to the base of my neck.

I groaned and picked up my phone. Who would be calling at 11 PM?

"Hello?" I asked, an irritated tone in my voice.

"(Y/n) darling! So sorry for catching you so late on your mobile," my manager apologized, her British accent dominating her voice, "You have a shoot tomorrow, just a reminder!"

"Thanks, bye."

I turned to Dick and gave him a kiss on the cheek, "Maybe it's a good thing we stopped. I love you Dick, but we should wait."

"I agree," he nodded, "Who called you."

"My manager was calling reminding me about a shoot tomorrow, her exact words," I prepared my British accent, " '(Y/n) darling! So sorry to catch you so late on your mobile.' If you're sorry to catch me late on my mobile don't call me late on my mobile!" (I swear I'm not taking a jab at those with accent and who call phones something else. There was a chance for a Friends (U.S TV Show) reference and I had to take it! I love accents, I promise!)

Dick laughed kissing my cheek, "I love you. Goodnight (Y/n)... By the way you might want to work on that accent."

"I have an amazing accent!" I argued throwing a pillow at him.

"Keep telling yourself that." He waved the pillow tauntingly. I rolled my eyes and threw another pillow at him, he dodged that one and stuck out his tongue at me.

"You are such a dork!" I scoffed.

"But I'm your dork." He returned the pillows to their original spots and kissed my cheek again, "Goodnight (Y/n), stay whelmed, traught, and feel the aster!"

I rolled my eyes angrily, though the smile on my face said that I wasn't angry. Dick smiled slightly and left my room, the thump of my front door letting me know he had left my penthouse. I shook my head and picked my book back up, taking a sip of the hot chocolate Dick had given me.

"So you haven't told anyone yet?" B.E.M asked from my bed.

"There's nothing to tell," I dismissed her with a wave of my hand.

"There is plenty to tell! I'm back! Your demon side is stronger!" She started counting things off on her fingers, "You can still pick evil! You're going to pick evil! Take my hand and you'll become all powerful-"

"Wait wait wait, what were those last two?"

"Oops, spoilers. Although, you already know this don't you? Got to go!"

"No come back!" I yelled standing up, she was a figment of my imagination, yet I couldn't control her. This was going to suck. Sciamchy was the closest thing that I could think of, fighting against imaginary enemies, against your shadow. While I didn't want to admit it, I could lose to my shadow.
