THIRTEEN; BELLA DOESN'T LIKE NICKNAMES

"You look way too happy for seven in the morning."

Haven nearly rolled her eyes at Jacob's comment as she lightly nudged her head against her boyfriend's chest. The two were laying in Haven's bed with sun only just beginning to peak through the bottom of her curtains.

The thin sheet that wrapped around the pair was almost unnecessary—Jacob's heat radiated off him and onto Haven. The huntress could feel Jacob's finger run along her bare shoulder. "You know why I'm excited."

Jacob's eyes squinted to look at Haven. Unlike her he had only just awoken—he could feel his girlfriend squirm up against him, the tossing and turning in excitement caused him to crack open his eyes. He had to try not to smile at the grin that covered Haven's face. "I know why, I'm just saying that no one should be this chirpy at an early hour."

"Carlisle said that Bella should wake up today," Haven giddily reiterated to Jacob. She couldn't help but feel excited.

It had only been two days since the events of Renesmee's birth had happened and yet Haven didn't think they could have gone any slower than it had. The baby was amazing—she was in fact rather glorious and captivating, Haven hadn't thought she could love something that cried and couldn't take care of itself so much. But she missed Bella, and the thought of getting her back whether she was a vampire or not made Haven want to jump for joy.

Thinking that her best friend was dead was more than enough pain than Haven wanted to endure. She remembered when Edward had told her the venom had started to change his wife, Haven had lost all hope at that point but the four words "she's going to live" restored everything in the huntress.

Jacob's teeth tugged on his lip as he bit it in hopes of containing his laughter. "I know, I was there when he said it, remember?"

Haven's head moved off his shirtless chest to look up at the boy. Despite knowing that her happiness was the reason he was trying not to laugh, Haven didn't attempt to wipe the smile off her face. "I'm allowed to be excited about this. Our best friend is waking up."

"As a bloodsucker," Jacob offered with barely any disgust in his tone, which was a first. He had a lot of time to come to terms with Bella being this way, and after he experienced what he thought was her death he realized that Bella being alive—even if it was as a vampire—was better than no Bella at all.

"It's going to be different," Haven thought about it in as much of a positive light as she could. At the end of the day, she got her best friend back. That made everything worth while—all the fighting, arguments and sleepless nights. "But we'll get through it. Bella will be back and now we have Ness. I don't see any negatives."

"Of course you don't," Jacob spoke of his girlfriend's usual positive attitude with fondness. "Nothing is ever negative to you."

"You're being incredibly negative to me right now," Haven quipped back, a large smile beamed off her face. She couldn't help but be happy, everything in her life was panning out in the best way she could think right now. Everything was good.

Jacob rolled his eyes at that. The pillow that his head rested on was pulled out from underneath him with his hand. The teenager laid the white cushion over his face and let out an exasperated groan—an obviously exaggerated one at that.

"Stop being dramatic, that was a witty comeback." Haven moved the pillow away from her boyfriend's face rather easily, Jacob didn't put up much a fight. They both smiled affectionately at the other, both happy to sit and admire the happiness that exuded from one another.
