topic: Are You Saved?
February 5th, 2012
What exactly does "Salvation", "Saved, "Being Saved", mean?
Romans 10:9 - "because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Alls you have to do is tell (Pray) God that Jesus is Lord, and that God raised Him from a terrible death. Except you have to mean it with everything you have. Your body, Your mind, Your heart, your tongue, even Your soul! Then, you will be saved.
So, that is how you become saved. But what is it?
Salvation is being saved from your own sins. It is having the Holy Spirit within you and guiding you through every day of your life and every thing you do. Being saved means that God is always with you, that when you die, you will go to Heaven. Being saved means that you shall have no fear of death. You are a child of God and no one can ever take you from Him!
Salvation is an amazing gift. It is the shining light at the end of a dark and shameful tunnel. Your life changed the moment that you become saved. You live with the knowledge that you will have eternal life. You have the love of a heavenly Daddy (God) draped over you like a warm blanket of protection your entire life.
What could be better!
Verse: John 10:27-29 My sheep, they listen to Me. I know them, and they follow Me. I have given them eternal life, so that they shall never perish. No one can snatch them from My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all. No one can snatch them from My Father's hand. I and the Father are one.
Meaning: Jesus is talking in this verse. He is saying that we (His sheep) listen to Him and we follow Him. He knows us, He has given us eternal life. We will never die. Once we are saved, no one can seperate us from Jesus or His Father (God). Jesus and God are one.
