Y/n POV
"Y/n please report to the throne room" was heard through the whole castle. Another day being a maid. Hi I'm Y/n (no joke) I've been a maid for the Ro'meaves since I could remember. So I'm pretty close to the family.. Zianna always treated me like her daughter although Garte didn't approve. "once again y/n please report through the Throne room" the speakers stated. Sigh, wonder what's wrong this time.

~in the throne room~

"Hello Garte and Zianna!" I said while bowing. "Oh y/n how many times do I have to tell you to stop with the formalities!" Zianna said with her reassuring smile. "Anyways y/n we wanted you here because Zane has been pretty down lately and since you both are close since a young age I was wondering if you could see what was wrong." Garte stated "Of course Garte. I'll head over to his room right away" I said bowing once more and heading to Zane.
I went to open the door. Locked..I knocked. No answer, I knocked a few more times, still no response. "Zane..it's Y/n.." I said sitting against the door. "Please Open th-" I was interrupted by the door opening. I fell on against the door. I look up to see a laughing Zane. "Ah sorry       Y/n" he said reaching his hand out to help me up. I gladly accepted his help and smiled. "Zane can we talk?" I said looking at his eyes..those mesmerizing eyes. I easily get lost in them. "Y/n?" I got snapped back to reality by Zane waving his hand. "S-Sorry" I said walking into his room. " Aw look Sutter Queen Came! Where did Y/n go?!" He said "Oh Shut up" I said laughing. I sat on the bed " Zane, your mom and dad are worried for you..you haven't come out of your room for days.." I said while looking at the roof.

Zane Pov

"Zane, your mom and dad are worried for you..you haven't come out of your room for days." Y/n said while looking at the roof. "Ha, are they now" I stated. "They are Zane..even I am. You wanna talk about it?" She said looking at me. Her h/c hair..that warm smile..I swear she's so beautiful. Sigh. "Well..Lets say I haven't been feeling like myself lately..I'm tired of living like this..I'm tired of all the expectations I have to live up to now that garroth is gone.." I noticed myself tear up. "It's just so hard...I just want to drift away.." I felt tears rolling down my face. I felt Y/n hug me..I felt safe.. "Zane...it's gonna be okay." She said while lifting my face making me look at her. "Beautiful.." I muttered "what was that?" She said giving me a confused look. "Oh nothing" I smiled. Then an idea came to mind. "I know this is sudden Y/n but I'm tired of this life..let's runaway" I said.

Y/n Pov

"Let's runaway" Zane said.. I had no idea what to tell him. If he leaves the kingdom would have to find someone else has the high priest..but he will be happy. That's what Zianna and Garte wanted. Right? "Zane..Let's do it" I said smiling. "R-Really?!" He said in shock. "Yes really. But we are gonna have to do it at night. So get packed!" I said smiling and moving his hair from his face. A light pink came to his face.  "okay! We meet in the back gate" He said. I smiled and ran to my room.
I packed as much as I could. Then it came to me..where are we going to exactly..we could go to Phoenix Drop. It surely has been a while since I been there.

~at night~
"I'm ready" I said looking at Zane.
"Let's go then" he said. He's eyes had a spark. A spark I haven't seen in a while.
We got in the car and we just drove..
It's gonna be a hell of a ride.

So yes it's a modern medieval , I decided since I'm remaking the book to give it a whole new taste. So Long story short. "How do you love someone" is now named "Runaway." It would be way more modern than the last time trust me!!
