For the past week and a half, Richard has continued to harass me, to feed my anger through his arrogance. I have withstood his onslaught of insults for Diana was right, all I had to do was beat him in a one on one.
Today, today is finally the day in which I challenge Richard for ever since he ambushed me. I have spent the time taking advantage of my recuperative powers.
For each day that passes, I feel the strength and control of my magical powers increasing. Sadly, I had to avoid revealing my powers during every class since Richard or someone in his group is in all of my classes.
One thing that I have never understood though is that whenever I am not in class or in my room, Eridel seems to latch onto me. From what I know, a lot of males have a crush on her however no one is willing to talk to her. It has to do with something about a few guys who kept pestering her, eventually she forced them to duel her under the same rule that I am planning to use against Richard.
Some people still talk about those duels and supposedly the guys she dueled against were stuck in the clinic for two weeks. Ever since this occurred, people started to call Eridel the Stone Princess.
Of course, they never said this to her face. I don't understand why people call her this however for she seems really friendly and kind.
Her presence, despite a little annoying, is something that I am grateful for since Richard doesn’t harass me whenever she is around. However, I am also reminded of the pain that Richard inflicted upon me and what I had to deal with after the ambush since it was Eridel who brought me to the clinic.
I take a few more deep breathes to steel my mind and ready myself before leaving the comfort of my bed. It is really difficult to resist the urge to shudder as my feet touches the ground due to how cold the floor is.
Quickly, I go over to my cabinet and stuff my feet into a pair of socks before changing out of my sleepwear
After changing clothes I leave my room and head over to the bathroom, passing by the increasing stacks of letters from people requesting my hand in marriage, although, it seems that the amount of letters I receive everyday is starting to decrease, which makes sense considering that the entire school heard how Richard ambushed me.
Once done, I head back to my room and quickly switch out some textbooks from the satchel before leaving.
As soon as I enter the dining hall, I enter the line for food. After getting some food, I search for Lily or Brian. Even though I could sit with Brian’s friends if I see them, I prefer not to. One of the reasons is that all of the females keep flirting with me and the other is that the only other guy there, aside from Brian and I, is a bit scared of me. As such, it feels really awkward to sit at their table.
It takes a while, but I realize that they are not yet down here so I find an empty table to sit at.
Eager to get to my Languages class, I scarf down my breakfast and place my plate onto the plate racks before leaving. As I am about to leave I notice Brian and Lily entering the dining hall, I say, “Good morning” to them as I pass by, waiting just long enough for them to reply back.
One of the reasons why I am so eager to get to my class is that Richard is not there. The other reason is that with English being so easy for me, I have a lot of spare time and that usually means that I can daydream when I should be paying attention to what is going on.
It only takes a dozen minutes of walking to reach the classroom that my class is located at. A quick peek into the room lets me know that there is currently no one inside the room. With nothing else to do, I find my seat and try to take a quick nap before class starts.
