There have been a lot of discussions on different kinds of zeds. So in this chapter, we'll go over the varieties possibly commonly heard of so far.
Basic Walker: Now these, you hear of a lot. Somewhat relentless, "crazed" people. Let's face it. They've become zombies. There are different circumstances, however, where they are said to run. Won't know until crap really does hit the fan. While the beginning, they may tend to stick close to major cities, the possibility of them becoming nomadic (continuation later) increases.
Runner: These are common in some instances. Said to be faster, stronger, and somehow smarter to an extent. They will chase and do not give up easily. In most cases, you will not be able to outrun one.
Stalker: Said to be quadrupedal, being able to actually climb. Having inhuman strength, even in death. Could they possibly climb buildings? Maybe. We'll find out.
Crawler: An injured walker. Crippled, possibly missing a leg or having been cut in half. As their name suggests, they continue to chase for prey.
Shambler: Move somewhat hunched over from a broken back or head lulled to the side from a broken neck, which would be rare. You can survive from breaking your neck, as long as you do not crush your wind pipe or damage the spinal cord. Zeds do not need air, but damage to their spinal cord would kill them. Especially with an injury to the neck.
Shriek: Like banshees. They scream, to alert more zeds of your location. They will not attack the living. If you come across one, kill immediately.
Witch: Like a shriek, they scream to alert other zeds, but these will attack you. They will attack without warning. They move somewhat faster than normal zeds. Kill or avoid.
Halves: These have somehow resisted the disease to a degree. Most are nonviolent. Some still retain things from being completely human.
Hordes (herds) are large gatherings of zeds. From 5-10 to over 10,000. Do not engage. Nomades are zeds that wander in search of prey. They will either gather in small herds or go solo. Non-nomades normally don't leave the place where they died. Do not engage what so ever if possible. Zeds can smell, and will hunt you down.
