and he wasn't prepared to just accept what fate assigned to him
a lump in his throat kept growing, resulting words impossible to escape from his lips. the burning sensation below his nose bridge built up and tears were starting to well up in his eyes, speaking for whatever emotions he had held in for years.
he squatted down onto the ground, hiding the vulnerable side of him that he never want anyone to witness. the younger one, however, simply went over and scooped him to his chest.
"it's okay," he patted his hyung's shoulder.
"is it worth it? to leave my grandma for this? for endless trainings? then getting slammed for something i didn't even intend?" he yelled but it's muffled by his thighs as he buried his face deep in it.
"i wasn't pulling her hair - i was just trying to -" he blurted out, trying justify himself but he got cut off instead.
"i know, the fan, she knows as well," jeongguk's eyes softened. both of them knew what happened but jeongguk never seen him like that, the kim taehyung he knows is someone who jams to cypher alone and someone who wants fried chicken that much that he would lie and said that he won grammys for maths.
maybe taehyung was wrong, maybe his members do care.
"i can't do this any longer, i -" the maknae never lets his hyung complete his sentence.
"your grandma must have not want you to live like this, drowning in self-pity." he told taehyung calmly.
taehyung's tears just kept falling, croaking, "my grandma... my grandma... what do i do now..." he gasped for air in between his speech but his blocked nose (a/n:from the crying yes try crying really hard) hindered the air to penetrate into his lungs.
"people come and go. there'll be distance, missing and losing. the only thing that stops us from losing and missing are memories. because memories stay. they are etched in your mind and it doesn't gets deleted. so is your grandma. your memories with her doesn't leave. she didn't leave. she's still with you." jeongguk exhaled the visible carbon dioxide through his mouth.
the stars in the vast sky blinked occasionally back to jeongguk. "don't you think we are like the stars there?" he remarked while pointing.
it made taehyung lift his head up.
jeongguk forced a tight smile, "isn't beautiful?"
"but a small beam of light seems like a surge of illumination to a star, threatening its presence in the sky to the naked eyes."
"aren't we, just like those stars underneath seoul city lights?"
it feels weird to hear the goofy maknae sputtering words like that. but he didn't say anything, he went along and ruffled jeongguk's head along with his head.
because he'd like to make this as a memory.
"so, what the antis did are invalid because the armys love you and love wins okay let's go taehyung, how long did you stay in here, it's freezing." jeongguk got up on his toes and hugged himself to maintain his body temperature, rushing back to the shelter.
"yeah, love wins and they will never fade if it's memories." he muttered before leaving.
a/n: thank you so so much for reading!!! i appreciate all the comments and vote (yes im watching kekeke) i haven't have the time to reply everyone but i will soon!!!!
explaination for chapter titles: i always believed love only existed between two person of any sexuality. hence, it's 0.2, 1.2 and when taehyung feels that his member do care (love) it's 2.2, get it
