I woke up with a kink in my neck and crusted drool on my chin. I grimaced as I wiped it off before looking down at the solid weight on my chest. I blushed as I realized the position Ashton and I had moved to during the night. His head is buried in my lap and his arms are snaked around my back and underneath my shirt, his legs are curled around mine and one of his hands is gripping onto my butt. Even though I am mad at Charles, I would totally understand if he wanted to attack his brother if he saw us in this position, because I would have no problem attacking him if he was in this position with Charles.
I roll out from underneath Ashton and smile as Ashton makes grabby hands for my body that us no longer there. I slide my pillow into his arms when I hear the frustrated grunts come from his mouth when he can't find me. He sighs adorably as he snuggles into my pillow before falling back to sleep.
I walk to the bathroom and relieve myself. I decide to clean up the bathroom, although all there is is a few towels and Ashton's dirty clothes, but it makes me feel better that I can do something, no matter how small, to make him more comfortable in his hard time.
I hesitate on bringing the clothes to the laundry room. What if he wakes up and thinks I left him? I know he said only until he fell asleep, but he seems really unstable and I would be upset if he woke up and was scared because I wasn't there.
I sigh quietly before rushing to the door and down to the basement where the laundry room. I pass the living room and see everyone in there still. They are all awake and watching something on T.V.
"Mason! What's going on? Is Ashton okay?" Zoro asks as he rushes torwards me.
I haven't put much thought into Zoro being the whole Omega-Warrior-Dude, but now that I am looking at him, I can see the darkness in his eyes, and I believe what Ashton told me. Zoro has gone through some shitty stuff, they all have, but they have come on top of it, well, mainly.
I open my mouth to answer him but an ear splitting cry reaches my ears, and I know my worries were right, Ashton woke up while I was gone.
I drop the dirty clothes as I turn around and sprint back to Ashton's room. Zoro had made it in front of me, but when I get to the room Ashton is cringing away from his father, and his eyes search out mine. He cries out in pain again before lurching his body torwards mine.
"Mason! I thought you left, you promised you wouldn't leave me." He sobbed as he buried his tearful face into my neck. I rubbed his back up and down as I made soothing noises.
"Its okay Ashton, I only went to the laundry room, I'm sorry I was gone when you woke up, but I promise I was going to come back." I coo as I kneel down on his bed. He nuzzles his nose into my neck as I sigh. I love Ashton, all of them, but I need him to get better too, and to do that, he needs to talk to his parents, his family.
I turn back to Zoro and smile at him assuringly.
"We will be down in a little bit. I just have to talk to Ashton quick." I state firmly as I slide my arm underneath Ashton's legs and pull him up to the top of the bed. Zoro nods shortly before trailing back down the hall and to the living room.
"I'm not going down there." Ashton muttered into my neck. I growl lightly before pulling him away from my neck.
"You can't fix any of your fears without telling your parents why you are scared! Do you want to live the rest of your life this way? Stuck in your room, crying out for me because I left to do your laundry. I'm not saying I'm going to leave, I'm always going to be right here, next to Charles, no matter how much of an ass he acts, so if you ever need a shoulder to lean on, come to me, but I can't solve your fears."
My cheat falls up and down quickly as I finish my rant. My hands had slid from Ashton's shoulders to his cheeks holding his face a few inches away from mine. I could see the tears blossoming in his eyes, but I could also see acceptance.
"Alright, I'll talk to them, but I want you right next to me, so when they blow up, I know I have one person on my side." I nod even though I know they won't be mad at him, I wouldn't be surprised if a few tears fall. But Ashton won't believe me, he'll have to face it himself.
"I'll always be on your side."
