"How are you eating that?" John asked, pushing the sushi around his plate.
"It's good," Alexander responded, picking up another piece of sushi with his chopsticks and placing it in his mouth.
"It's the morning."
"You're a baby." John laughed, taking a sip of his water.
"Are we just not going to talk about it?" John interrupted the silence, and Alexander looked up.
"Are we not going to talk about it?"
"Talk about what, John?"
"I mean, it's fine if you don't want to."
"No, no, we should probably talk."
"Did I hurt you?"
"No, I'm fine."
"So you're not feeling weird or anything?"
"I just want to make sure you're okay."
"Did you, um, like it?" Alexander's face turned red, and he carefully placed his chopsticks on his plate.
"So are you willing to it again sometime?"
"Of course I am. It was just...new." John shifted around in his seat. He had no idea that the conversation would become so awkward.
"Was it your first time?"
"Yeah. What about you?"
"Uh, yeah, it was my first time."
"Is that Jefferson?" John noticed the tall man running up the hill. Alexander squinted his eyes.
"Yeah, it is." They watched him start talking to Thomas P., and they both got up when he punched him. John immediately pulled out his wallet, leaving the money on the table before running out with Alexander. They froze outside of the restaurant as Thomas P. jumped on top of Thomas J.
"Shit!" Alexander shouted, and they ran up the hill, flinching every time one of them punched the other one.
"Get off of him!" John ripped Thomas P. off of Thomas J., holding his shoulders firmly so he didn't leave. Thomas J. ignored Alexander's hand and got up himself, glaring at Thomas P.
"Leave her alone!" He shouted, and Thomas P. stuck up his middle finger before running off.
"Are you okay?" Alexander asked.
"He's a dick."
"He's a piece of shit."
"Thomas, what happened?" Alexander asked, but Thomas still ignored him, walking off in the other direction.
"What the hell was that about?" John asked, his arm wrapped around Alexander's slender waist.
