AN: I know only 7 people have read my first chapter but I really wanted to just write the second chapter. It's been all I could think about all day. I hope at least one person that read the first chapter will read the second one. But who knows. I'm trying to make a cover page for the story to attract more people to it but I don't really know anyone on Wattpad and it's difficult to get people to read it and critic. it for me. I hope you guys continue reading and tell me if anything need fixing in the first chapter?

P.S. The picture is Jay's motorcycle

20 minutes later we arrived at Emily's house. I could see her and Gier standing outside her house with a frying pan and knives in both hands of each other. "EMILY!!! It's Jay and Janessa! They came!" Parking the truck box closest to the door of her house. "Stay in here okay boys? I don't want you to run off." I hopped out of the truck and walk over to Emily and Gier saying: "I grabbed all the bread from the grocery store closest to my house. I also picked up Janessa and her cats. I hope that's okay with you guys." Nudging Janessa as I spoke of her. I tossed my long brown hair in the direction of the meowing cats. "You're family's don't want to co-......" Realizing the mistake in the question, Janessa burst into a never ending river of tears. I can't blame her. If I lost all of my family I would be upset too. I gave a blank face towards Emily and gestured her into her house. We both knew what was going to be said, we quickly marched up to her what was once a lively room, was filled with much thought and inspiration; is now bland from the bare walls. "I saved Kailib and Gabriel. I wasn't able to save Megan or my parents." Distant I felt a light arm come around me giving me a sense of comfort and belonging, "I had to kill her to save them. I hated her but I didn't want to kill her. My parents were already dead when I got downstairs. I think my dad turned first then turned my mom. He was always up late for a smoke. I'm not sure why she wasn't bit the same time as my dad though." "I'm not sure why. Maybe she missed the zombie or maybe your dad killed it?" "I don't know... But I think Megan tried to protect her kids but got severely bitten in the process. I heard them screaming when I woke up. I packed everything up and made my weapon but... I don't know if they're okay. I mean... THEY SAW ME KILL THEIR MOTHER!!!" Now screaming at myself, I stood up, I could feel my emotions coming up. I had to ignore them and be strong. Not for me but for the boys. I know it sounds cheesy but I have to. "It's okay if you want to cry. No one will see you." I took it into thought but my dislike for crying in front of people was too strong. I simply sit back down. "No. It's okay. When I picked up Janessa her mom and brother had already turned and were eating Dani. I can't imagine how she feels now. At least she has her cats?" Forming a smile I started to laugh a bit, Emily laughed along, "Janessa has a strange thing for cats. I swear some day she'll marry one of them!" "No, no my good dear. I've already talked to her about it. She's going to raise her own cat farm in Nunavut!" "Why Nunavut?" Emily asked. "Because its always cold up there and zombies move slower in the cold." "Aaahhh, I see." "Emily! Come help me with this box!" Stephanie (Emily's mom) calls from downstairs. Without any sound we both got up and walk downstairs to the living room. "Anything I can help with? Their's still some room left in the back of my truck. If I have to take my motorcycle out I can drive it to Emily's dad's and some one else can drive? They would just have to put up with two kids and three cats." Smiles spread across the faces of everyone with in ear shot. "That would be wonderful Jay. Thank you. Wait. Why are their cats in your truck?" "Janes-" "I felt obligated to bring my cats due to the recent events. I have no more family other than them now." Cut in Janessa. "Oh dear. I'm so sorry. I didn't know." Stephanie's facial expression gave away her feelings of guilt. ------ With my motorcycle unloaded and boxes filling its space. Monica (Emily's older sister) got into the driver's seat, Sensei got into the passenger, Kailib, Janessa, Gabriel, and Janessa's many cats were all packed in the back seats. Piled in Emily's mom's car was: Emily, Kyle (Emily's boyfriend who also lost his family). Gier, Kayla; her mom and sister were driving with Gier's mom in her car. Glad that Gier and Kayla didn't lose many people who were close to them like most of us, I couldn't shake the feelings of envy. Making the decision before hand, we were planning to all drive to Emily's dad's acreage. Three cars and a yellow motorcycle did it's justice. I plugged my iPod into my helmet and listened to Set Fire To The Rain by Adele. Knowing that, that song and many others on a play list that I had created, would keep me calm and help keep out any and all emotions that threatened to break through my newly built wall. Emily's mom lead us all in a line. Promising to stop at every gas station along the way, we kept tabs on where we were for the ones that didn't know. We mapped out how far the zombie plague had spread by the gas stations. It got as far as the first three gas stations. ---------- "Should we go in?" "I don't know, what if there are zombies in there?" Crash! Bang! Shatter! "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!! BERT!!! NO! DON'T EAT ME! I'M YOUR FRIEND!!!" "You guys stay here, I'll go in and see what's happening." Kyle burst out. "I'm coming too!" Sensei and Kayla chimed in, in sync with each other. "Me too." I blandly said. Quickly I unlatch my bat from the side of my motor cycle and walked into the store. Wanting to go in as fast as I could so no one would question it.. Walking in was the same as normal. Behind me was Kyle, behind him was Kayla and Sensei. Kayla held in one hand a long spike maul, Sensei carried an assassin's dagger built into both her gloves. Both of them trying to get a peek inside by standing on their tippy toes. Striding in I whip around instantly take charge. "Kayla you go around back with Sensei. Kyle and I will check it out around here. It'll be best if we stay together. That way we can help defend against any amount of zombies." Hearing the sternness in my voice got them to move quickly. Kayla and Sensei quickly walked out the door and around back, seeing through the window I read their lips: "What the hell just happened?" "I don't know Kayla. I think Jay has been replaced or something." "Yeah. I think it's all just got to Jay is all. She had to kill her sister. And now all she has left are those bratty little kids." Looking away with pure anger rising up, I walked around the convenient store looking for any trails that lead to where the zombie and the other guy could have been. Kyle, on the other side of the little store, meet up in the middle with me. Facing a door was a mess of things that had been picked up and thrown. Eyes meeting I heard him say: "How much you want to bet theirs a zombie buffet going on behind this door?" , "Oh I don't know, how about ten bucks?" With in an instant of saying that I kicked down the door like any good girl would do. It was like the grocery store all over again. But with a closet and only ten zombies not fifty. For the second time that day my mind was baffled at the amount of zombies that could fit in that little space. I pushed Kyle out of the way forcing myself to go backwards to dodge two bloody zombies lunging forwards at us. Crack! I heard the sound of its skull cracking against the nails as it went in to its brain. I never realized how much blood splattered when you hit something with a baseball bat. Kyle finished off his zombie and sliced through the next two heads that walked out of the closet. I somehow ended up getting my bat stuck in my third zombies head. I threw my bat to the side with my other zombie and pulled out my brass knuckles and grabbed the next zombie that came out and threw him to the ground. " How many freaking zombies are going to come out?!" Struggling with finishing off his 5th zombie Kyle retorted "I don't know but this one is putting up a real good fight." "Kill him already!" Still wailing on the now dead zombies head I grabbed it by its ripped collar and threw it out the window splattering blood everywhere in the process. "Screw this. I'm getting bored." I pulled out my Glock 9mm and pressed it against the next zombies head and pulled the trigger, blood splattered every where as the zombie went down. Not even seconds later the next one came out and BAM! Shot him in the head. slamming the door shut I shoved my gun into my side gun holder and ripped my bat out of the zombie and walked out of the door. Everyone's face showed shock and disgust: One at my bravery to volunteer to go in and killed the zombies, but also at my blood covered outfit. Looking for a split second I turned around to see Kyle finally shove his sword into the zombies head. "Finally. He's done." I thought to myself with relief. Walking around I saw Kayla and Sensei leaning against wall talking to a man who looked as if he was going to faint any second. "Who's he?" I demanded. "Has he been bitten?" "He's fine, just in shock is all. His name is Carl. We came in just in time. He had a zombie on top of him and was almost about to be eaten." Kayla explained. "Did you lock those zombies in the closet?" Looking at the man with disgust. "I-I-I didn't... ...But B-Be-Bert did... He got bit when he put them in there. MY POOR LOVER! HE WAS FINE ONLY 2 HOURS AGO! Why would he try to bite me?! I didn't do anything to him! He was my lover and I was his!" Hysterical I felt his pain. "When he turned he lost all emotional connections and only focused on one thing. Feeding his hunger. That's why he tried biting you and wouldn't stop. I'm sorry it had to end like this. Would you be able to come out to the front? We have other people out there. We're going to a safe place." "R-really? But what about Bert?!", Carol stuck a long slender finger out pointing at the chubby man who lay only a few feet away, "I can't just leave him here!" "He's gone. I'm sorry. We can build him a memorial if you like?" Slowly walking over I help the poor skinny man to his feet. "My name is Jay, That one over there is Kayla and the one next to her is Hailey. And the guy over there behind me is Kyle." I never realized how much someone could weigh. Skinny or not this guy weighed a ton.

The acreage was so much more beautiful than I thought it would be. It had trees that stretched out for miles, for as far as the eye could see. The sunset looked as if a painter took the most time and the most delicate colors to fill the sky with. I'm not sure why but when ever a scene looks really pretty it always makes me think that some one painted it. Who ever paints my images is a freaking master that must be worshiped! We were all to tired to talk or even set anything up. We grabbed blankets and pillows, doubled up on beds and took shifts during the night to watch and make sure no zombies were coming or followed us up here.
