I apologize for the delay, I just had to make sure I got the plot in this chapter right before just throwing it out there. I was having some writers block issues but I like the way this chapter came out. I can't wait to see what your reactions are. [ROMAN POV] "Dean, are you sure this is the right room? There's no one here..." I looked around and finally found a lightswitch to flip on. There was absolutely nothing unusual in the room.
"Yeah, that's what the message said, room 1306. I don't see anything either...now what?" He went and checked if anyone was in the bathroom.
"Shit! I'm literally at the end of my rope right now. What if she was taken somewhere else before we got here? The room looks like it's been untouched, just like the rest of the rooms on this floor." I ran a hand through my hair, trying to figure out what to do next.
Dean's attention was caught by something shiny on the floor. I couldn't see what it was but he picked it up and was examining it in the air. It looked like a chain of some sort.
"Hey Roman, come check this out..." He placed a broken necklace in the palm of my hand. Upon closer inspection of it, I felt like my heart was going come right out of my throat. The chain had been pulled off with force but the actual guitar pick pendant on the necklace with the monogram letter 'K' and the musical note were still there.

"This is Kiran's....she bought this from the mall a few weeks ago.....Kiran was here." There was no emotion in my voice. I didn't know how to feel right now. She was surely in trouble because this necklace looked like it was pulled off with the chain being broken like that. How long ago had this been here on the floor?
"We have to check the room again!" Dean rushed over to the closet area while I was checking under the bed again.
"Help....."
Both Dean and I stopped dead in our tracks and looked at eachother. We both heard that faint voice coming from somewhere so I knew I wasn't imagining it. We silently waited another couple of minutes to see where it came from or if we could hear it again but there was nothing. It was a faint voice but it didn't seem like it came from too far away.
"Help me......."
"Dean! That sounded like Kiran's voice!!" I couldn't figure out where it was coming from and then something told me to go check out on the balcony to see if she was locked outside. There was nothing there but a couple of chairs and a small table.
"Roman............help" Now I heard her voice clearly and my heart sank to my stomach but I couldn't see where she was in the dark. She sounded so exhausted, barely able to talk above a whisper.
