"I'm not sure if I want to wear this, Luke," She mumbled, hoping Luke was able to hear her through the wooden door while she looked down at her outfit.
"I'm sure you look beautiful," Luke chuckled, leaning against the door as he listened and waited carefully for the girl to open the door and show him the outfit he had chosen for her. "Now come out Lo, we have to leave soon if we don't want to keep anyone waiting."
Tonight was supposed to be filled with drinks, fun and friends as Luke had made sure to plan a fun night for him but also for Logan, who was still struggling with Collin's letter after almost a month of receiving it.
"Fine, but if any of your friends is going to judge me, you have to take all the blame," She muttered, untwisting the lock of the door to open it afterwards, a small and rosy blush making its way onto her cheeks after she noticed Luke kept silent for half a minute.
"Even you are judging me," Logan sighed, shrugging off the soft pink silky trench coat before Luke took her hand in his, pulling her back to have her look in his eyes.
"You look like an angel," Luke said quietly but with a smile on his face. He took the coat from her before holding it up so she was able to slip her arms through the sleeves. "Now, you ready to see the surprise I got you?"
Luke had been teasing Logan about having a surprise for her, just because she had been working hard while staying at Luke's and keeping in touch with friends hadn't been her first priority.
"You're making me extremely nervous," Logan chuckled, taking her bottom lip in between her teeth as Luke lead her downstairs carefully, making sure he kept his hands in front of her eyes as well as making sure they weren't tripping down the stairs.
"You don't have to be," Luke whispered, his lips brushing her ear softly as they came to the end of the staircase, Luke's hands covering her eyes. "Open up, Lo."
A shriek was loud as it echoed around the hallway, a pair of arms wrapping around her neck immediately. Logan recognized the smell of a perfume and giggled once she realized Clarice was clinging onto her like a koala.
"How did you come in?" Logan asked her best friend once she released them both from the tight hug, keeping Clarice's hands in hers either way.
Clarice smiled smugly, nodding her head in Luke's way, who was watching the two women standing in his hallway. "Mr Hotmings found my number somewhere and called me to see if I was ready for a nice night out. I only agreed to go with if he brought some hot friends."
Logan rolled her eyes before giggling, lightly smacking her best friend's bare arm before looking at her boss, "Okay so, where are those hot friends of yours then?"
Luke instantly felt his insides turn at her words. Hot friends? Didn't he show her he had some sort of interest in her? Wasn't that obvious?
He sighed and pushed himself from leaning against the wall, grabbing his keys and turning off the lights, "They're waiting for us at the club."
Logan noticed his harsh words and immediately furrowed her eyebrows at his behavior. What was his problem? Isn't he able to handle a joke?
Clarice chuckled before hooking her arm together with Logan's, walking behind a hurried Luke, who was already sitting in his fancy car while waiting for the girls to get in as well.
"Oh this is cool," Clarice mumbled, her hands brushing over the leather seats once she finally sat down on the backseat, Logan next to her. "Is any of your friends interested in girls with a good sense of humor? I think I will fit in their perfect image of a girlfriend."
Logan snickered at her friend's serious words, shaking her head silently as she stared out of the window. She couldn't wrap her head around the fact that Luke was irritated with her, or that's what she thought. He hadn't talked to her since they got into the car.
"That's for you to find out," He spoke up, parking the car before getting out and waiting for the girls to do so as well.
Logan slammed the door closed before rubbing her arms and walking towards the entrance by her own, the other two quickly walking behind her.
Bobby, the tall and broad guy who was standing in front of the door and checking names, looked up to find Luke smiling at him. "Hello Mr. Hemmings, nice to see you again. First few drinks are on us."
Logan rolled her eyes at how awkwardly nice they were being, just because Luke was a well known man and came there often. They all should know how he is behind the scenes.
Logan wasn't aware that they already made their way inside, already greeted with -what she supposed was- Luke's group of friends. Tall guys were laughing and saying hi to each other and Clarice already seemed to fit in as she talked to a guy with tanned skin, dark eyes and hair.
Luke's eyes found the girl he knew as his maid, but it felt as if they were some sort of dating. Sad you aren't dating huh, Luke?
Luke made his way over to her, placing a hand onto her back to push her into his group of friends. "Guys," He announced, "This is Logan."
Ashton's head shot up at Luke's words, so this was the maid he had feelings for?
Logan sent the group a small smile, waving her hand. "Hi, nice to meet you." She said, feeling how Luke was rubbing circles onto her back soothingly.
"Jesus Luke," The guy with dyed blonde hair and an eyebrow piercing spoke up, "How come you never told us you had someone working for you that's this hot?"
"Cause I know how you all will try to get her away from me. And that's not happening."
