I guess now it's time for me to give up
I feel it's time
Got a picture of you beside me
Got you're lipstick mark still on your coffee cup

Desperation, for Rikkard Ambrose, the feeling—the emotion was foreign. For a man who was born into a family of mechanical beings, they were taught to show little care and emotion. It was stitched, tattooed, marked into their minds that they don't need love to run a business. They need money, power and influence, lots of it.

Got a fist of pure emotion
Got a head of shattered dreams
Gotta leave it, gotta leave it all behind now

The first time he lost track of himself was the time he and Samantha were kicked out, pushed away, disowned. As children, their father did not allow them to interact with the neighbor's children, they were homeschooled, taught by the best teachers in London. At the time they were disowned, they took refuge out in the streets. Rikkard had taken his sister to the nearest shelter promising her that he would come back with a pocket full of money and a future brighter than gold.

He had it all planned out: find a ship or a barge, go to Africa and get employed in one of a hundred diamond mines. He learned only to spend money when desperately needed, for years his hair had grown long, his tailcoat hidden and kept, and everyday he spent days deep into the tunnels filled with shimmering diamonds. Everyday he forgets his home, but never his sister and the promise of revenge.

By the time he was twenty one everything drastically changed, his plans were all destroyed by one thing: his father's death. It was the second time he had lost track of himself, his emotions and his perfectly built wall. The lands, the houses, the hotels, the factories, the people that were once his father's were now all his. The plan for revenge turned to dust, the promise to return to London shined brighter.

Rikkard took his sister from the shelter and promised to send his thanks to the nuns, that turned out to be a big land and a house for the nuns to accommodate more children. Hand in hand both Ambroses returned to their home.

The family lawyer read the last will and testimony of Archibald Ambrose. Rikkard would get everything his father gained from his business. His mother would get the house in Paris and Samantha would inherit the family home.

Twenty-four and ruthless in business, his heart turned colder than ever. He met Karim in India, and became his companion as his empire grew from continent to continent. He met Pearl and Jabari when he was planning to build a railway along their land. Pearl was an odd woman and told him that he would someday find someone for him.

He knew that someday he would have to produce an heir, nonetheless who the mother is. He would have to settle down, whether he loved the woman or not. But in his line of work love is a waste of time, made people lose their heads, and he vowed to Pearl that she would never see him loosing his head over some girl.

He thought it would take him sometime to find a woman, he knew it would tske years since he still had to crush an old enemy. Too bad she just had to come so soon, and disguised as a man! Tricked him into employing her, made her drunk, took her to Egypt and almost ravished her. They even pronounced their wedding vows in the sandstorm!

If Pearl were here she would have laughed so hard along with her husband, Jabiri. Rikkard Ambrose, loosing his head over some girl! Pear would surely lose it and tell the entire groove about it. But Lilly is not some girl, she is far from just being a young lady from England. She is not someone that he would use just to have an heir, or marry for power, and Lillian is not a waste of time.

Rikkard Ambrose may not like the feeling of being desperate but he is going to embrace it. He is desperate because he sinned, he had transformed into his father the moment they stepped foot in the manor. All the confusion, the pain and the past catching up to him, he needed someone to destroy. Lilly—Lillian was the only pure person he would think of and he destroyed her and she heard it all. Now, she is gone and now he hates feeling nothing, because all his emotions went with her.

The ability to feel, he had gained it all when he was with her. The time when she was drunk was the first time he had laughed in years. To show sympathy and concern and even saying a petty word such as please! The times when he is confused, one look from her and his confusion would vanish replaced by sure conviction.

The ring, the locket and the key. The ring was a symbol that she is his, the locket was a promise that she will be his and the key was the Empire House's master key. His fortune, his power and his heart are all hers.

Rikkard loved being desperate, and now he will go after the sunshine for his life—Pearl's words, not his, and he will give her the last thing he has: his love.

Whatever I said, whatever I did I didn't mean it
I just want you back for good
Whenever I'm wrong just tell me the song and I'll sing it
You'll be right and understood

Forgive me for the lack of words, its 12 midnight here in our country. Welp, it's done! There MIGHT be a fourth or fifth part so don't kill me yet. After this series will be something a little bit different, I have never tried it before but hey, #YOLO amirite? So stay tuned for teasers, rants and more thank you notes.

It took me sometime to write this down, grammatical errors here and there, I'm so sorry for the mistakes but I can't edit right now. If you have noticed, most of my one-shots don't line up/follow the book. Don't worry, I'm going to edit each chapter (especially this) in Christmas break. So that means no updates for a few days. So will work hard on updating the day after tomorrow and the day after that if I find inspiration and time.

Thank you for the 10k reads omg you guys are crazy! Also, if you haven't read my OMG Rants parts 1 and 2 here's a quick summary: RSDS is added to Sir Rob's fanfiction reading list, and I predicted the future by telling everyone that Mr. Ambrose will once again initiate Ambrosian Garbage Disposal on Morty. Then I saw the next chapter title on Raddish and I flipped. So I decided not to buy the chapter to be surprised in the next update.

Thank you again for the comments, reads, votes and the love! Let's all talk about ways on how to get rid of Morty in the comments section? I would love to help out in saving Mother Earth and volunteer for AGD because trash is literally everywhere nowadays.
