"Where are you?"

"With her," he said into the phone. A sigh emanated on the other line.

It stayed quiet for a moment, "I'll talk to you later, then."

He hung up the phone without answering and looked down to the ground. The grass had grown almost to the length of the lots beside it. Sitting down, he put his hands down on the ground and closed his eyes. He could feel his eyes grow warm as tears collected. He chanted to himself inside his head not to cry. He wouldn't break in front of her.

He opened his eyes and read the stone over and over again, still unable to convince himself it was real.

He could feel his heartbreak all over again inside him. Pieces shattering inside his veins and tearing his body apart. The tears he held back for so long finally let out, burning against his numbed skin. He looked up to the sky covered by dark clouds. Everything seemed so dark. His sun was gone.

"Please come back."
