*I know it honestly takes me forever to update, but I’m doing my best loves! So I hope you haven’t given up on me. Enjoy :)*

                                              Chapter Eight

"Are you okay?" Luke asked hurriedly. He slowed down, looking at mine and Calum’s intertwined hands. His eyebrows furrowed and he looked down slightly, A look of something flickered past his eyes, but I couldn’t read it.

"Luke?" Calum questioned.

"So you guys are a thing now?" Luke grinned.

Wow. For a second there, just a second, I thought that maybe, just maybe, Luke would prove to me that I made the wrong decision. He’d show me that I wasn’t supposed to be with Cal, but with him. But no. He was perfectly okay with it.

A part of me was hurt. I had slowly fallen in love with the blonde. He had never showed that he reciprocated that feeling though in any way other then best friend love. I had told myself over and over that I couldn’t feel this way anymore. So I allowed my small crush on Calum to become bigger and bigger. It never out did how I felt about Luke though, but it was a start.

"Yeah, I think so," Calum smiled over at me. I smiled back, giving his hand a squeeze.

What are you doing Em? You and Calum, Calum and You. Get rid of Luke. There is no Luke in the equation now. You have this absolutely wonderful guy, why can’t you just be happy? I mentally yelled at myself.

"Good. I always thought you two would be a good couple" Luke smiled.

That was it. That was all I needed to know, that I had to fully get over whatever the heck I felt for Luke and transfer it all over to Calum.

"Hey, I’ll be right back," Calum said, standing up and walking out quickly.

Luke and I watched him go. “So you’re okay right?” Luke asked, kneeling down in front of me. He brushed a piece of hair behind my ear.

"All good," I laughed breathily.

"Good," he whispered, kissing my forehead. He stood up right as Calum walked back in. "I’ll have to make sure your boyfriend over here doesn’t hurt you again," Luke winked.

"Never," Calum smiled at me, walking over and sitting on the edge of the couch by me.

"He’s good for his word," Luke laughed.

I smiled at him, feeling Calum intertwine our fingers. I looked down at them, my smile brightening. This was good. I really liked Calum, this was going to work out and be perfect just like I had always dreamed a relationship would be.

"Your mom told your brother to pick up pizza," Ashton announced, walking in.

"And Pizza is here!" Ryan announced, setting down the pizza box on the table in front of you.

"That was fast," Michael mumbled, bring in plates and napkins.

"I’m just that good," Ryan smirked. I rolled my eyes and made to stand up.

"And what do you think you’re doing missy?" Luke raised his eyebrows at me.

"Not getting pizza?" I groaned, falling back onto the couch.

"Good girl," Michael laughed, patting my head.

"Remove your hand before I bite you," I told him.

"Feisty. Have fun with that," he told Calum.

"Just go get me something to drink," I laughed, smacking him as he walked away.

"Here," Luke handed me a plate. He sat in front of me, scooting over enough so that I could see the movie Ashton had put on.

I felt Calum squeeze my hand and I looked at his smiling face, I smiled back before turning my attention back to the movie. This was good. This what was supposed to happen. Wasn’t it?
