I slowly walked behind Liam and the girl as they walked out of the school. I caught the obvious end of their conversation.
"So 7:00 at Boulevard?" Liam asked.
Boulevard? That was one of the fanciest restaurants in the area. They must be going to dinner.
I don't wait to hear the girl's reply as I swivelled my body around. I had an idea.
I needed to figure out what was going on between these two.
After Taryn told me the details for tonight, I found myself walking alone to my house.
After the chilly walk, I was thankfully greeted by a blast of warm air as I walked in the door.
I walked up the stairs, slamming my bedroom door shut.
"What am I going to wear?" I wondered coolly.
Why am I not freaking out?
Usually I would be suffering of huge anxiety right now. I guess things had changed.
I quickly hopped into the shower, letting the scorching hot water soothe my tense muscles. I used up most of the hot water before turning it off and wrapping a white towel around my waist. I pulled on a pair of black boxers along with a pair of dark blue skinny jeans. I stayed topless as I ran to the bathroom, styling my hair up into a small quiff before throwing on a black button up top with a collar.
I checked my phone, seeing the time was 6:30.
Well, I better be a gentleman and get our table.
After driving 15 minutes to the restaurant, I pulled into the quite crowded parking lot of Boulevard, one of the fanciest restaurants in all of Cheshire. I went inside, and found our reserved table. I got on my phone, scrolling through Twitter but was interrupted as a small hand took my phone out of my hand. I looked up and saw Taryn standing over me.
She looked beautiful. Her brown hair was put up into a elegant bun, with a few strands falling in front of her ears to frame her delicate face.
"Hey Liam," she said, smiling. She took the seat across from me and sat down in the plush dark wood chair. "I'm starving. You?"
"Yeah." I nodded, just as a waitress came up to us, a pen behind her ear.
"What can I get for you two lovebirds?" she asked politely.
Taryn and I both awkwardly laughed and looked at each other.
"We..we're not.." I was about to say that we were not a couple, but Taryn interrupted.
"Yes, actually we are. And this guy over here, well he's the best boyfriend I've ever had. My mum recently passed, and I have just been a complete, utter mess. But he has been here for me. Comforting me, staying with me until I fall asleep, and always telling me how much he loves me. I...I... love him...so much!" she finished, sobbing.
I crouched behind a large potted plant,
just as I saw the mystery girl come up to Liam's table. I couldn't make out their whispered words, even though I strained to hear them. I watched as a waitress came up to their table asking for their order. I watched Liam's face flush, and he began stuttering incoherent words. But mystery girl piped right up, this time, loud enough for me to hear.
"And this guy over here, well he's the best boyfriend I've ever had. "
My eyes began to prickle with tears, as I listened to the end of her story.
"My mum recently passed, and I have just been a complete and utter mess. But he has been here for me. Comforting me, staying with me until I fall asleep, and always telling me how much he loves me. I..I.. love him so much!" she finished, sobbing.
At this point, I was full out crying as I got up. I stumbled over a untied lace on my shoe, and my weight went to the large pot, knocking the potted plant to the ground. Liam's head swivelled around, and when he saw me his eyes went wide.
A/N: sorry its a bit short :((
