I wake up at five o'clock in the morning. It's that time of year again. Basketball tryouts are happening and I need to be there at 6. I braid my hair and throw on some old trunks.
I make some breakfast and start walking to the school. I stop to tie my laces to begin running and as I stand up I crash into a solid figure.
I fall down and land on my wrists. I look up to see who it is
"Watch where you're going..." I hear a deep voice say. "Oh, shit."
I take his hands and squint my eyes at whoever that is. Fuck. It's Drake.
"Thanks." I state and move to step around him but he guards his position.
"Do I know you.?" He asks into the brisk air.
"Ye-no actually. You don't. Can you move now? I've got a place to be." I say rather rudely.
"Oh, hum yeah. sure." he moves out of the way and I resume my jog to the school.
After the long day of school I head to my locker to get my books, to be stopped by somebody leaning against it.
"Hey," Drake says.
I just stare at him with a stubborn glare.
"We got off on a bad start," he continues making it awkward in every way possible. "and I want to make it up to you. What do you have to say for a movie?"
"Great ill pick you up at 7- wait. What?"
"It's called rejection. Something you're probably not used to. Reality check bozo, I'm not into you."
"Ouch, that stung a little."
"Good. Now move before I make you move." I was beyond irritated now.
"Alright, well I guess I'll see you around then." He lifted himself off my locker and strode away probably trying really hard not to look back.
As I gather my belongings I notice a whole group of girly sluts hanging around glaring at me.
I give them a satisfactory wink, slam my locker and strut myself out of that school.
"Where the hell were you?!" my dad hollers at me.
"I went to the library to finish my homework." I say matter of factly.
"Sure, that's where you were."
"What are you implying?"
"Oh nothing. I give up with teenaged girls."
"You and me both." I say and walk up to my room.
