Chapter Ten

*Hey guys! I don't know if anyone is even reading this, but here's a new chapter. I'm going to try to update more often. But, yeah, enjoy!*

“It’s been almost half an hour,” Nicole said nervously. I looked up at her both wondering the same thing.

“They are totally doing it,” Chase commented. I shot him a glare. He looked at me sheepishly, but smirked when he saw the smile playing at my lips.

“Why don’t we go look for them?” I offered, looking over at Nicole.

“She can stay and catch up with Calum. I’ll go with you,” Michael said jumping up and offering me a hand.

“I’ll come with,” Austin said, standing as well.

“What about Emma?” Hayden asked. I bet anything ten bucks that he left Luke out of that equation on purpose.

“She didn’t want to be with anyone,” Calum shrugged.

“Then why did Luke go after her?” Hayden asked, eyebrows raised.

“Because he’s that shy awkward kid and will know how to talk to her,” Calum explained. Hayden huffed and crossed his arms, slouching more in the chair.

“Just go find Ashton and Keelie right now,” Chase said. I nodded.

“We’ll be back soon, promise,” I smiled.

We walked out of the room and down the hallway. We walked towards the elevator and went down to the first floor. We walked to the snack bar, but not seeing them hopped onto the elevator again.

“Ten bucks they’re doing it,” Michael smirked.

“Keelie wouldn’t do that,” Austin defended her.

“Dude, I’m joking,” Michael held his arms up in surrender.

“Oh look. There they are,” I pointed. The elevator doors opened and there they were, walking towards Keelie’s room, snacks in hand.

“Look what we got,” she sing-songed. She held up all the snacks and waved them in the air.

“Good. I’m starving,” Austin said. He grabbed the food from her hand and then grabbed her hand, pulling her towards the room.

Ashton crossed his arms and grudgingly followed them. I laughed silently to myself. I knew my brother always tried his hardest to get what he wanted, but it looked like he and Ashton wanted the same thing. The five of us walked through the room.

“So where they?” Chase asked excitedly.

“No!” Keelie exclaimed, laughing.

“Told you,” Austin said as he passed Michael.

Michael shook his head and plopped onto the couch, grabbing a bag of chips.

“Hey!” I protested. I sat next to him and grabbed the bag out of his hands. “Sharing is caring,” I told him when he started to protest. He smiled and moved closer to me.

“Where’s Emma and Luke?” Keelie asked, looking around.

“Not here,” Hayden said sarcastically. Calum gave him a look he missed and rolled his eyes.

“I’ll text Luke if you’re so worried,” Calum volunteered.

“Kids?” A voice outside the door said.

“Coming,” Nicole swiftly stood up and opened the door. Leon, Ms. Jackson, and Mrs. Hemmings all walked in.

“I just wanted to give you all a quick update,” Leon said. “Tomorrow…,”

“Hold on,” Liz said, looking around, confused. “Where’s Luke?”

“And Emma?” Mrs. Jackson asked.

“They just went to get,” Calum started, covering for his best friend.

“We don’t know where they went,” Hayden spoke up. “And I’m concerned.”

“They’re missing?” Leon asked.

“No, they aren’t,” Keelie said pointedly, shooting Hayden shut-up-look. “Mom you know how Emma is when she gets really uncomfortable. Well, she left and Luke went after her. I’m sure they’re just somewhere talking.”

“They need to get back here now!” Leon said firmly. “And when you find them, they are to report back to me.” And with that he marched out of the room.

"Any idea where they went?" Mrs. Jackson asked her daughter. Keelie just shook her head. "We need to find them. And now. Leon isn't happy kids. And if you don't all want to be in major trouble I suggest you tell those two to get back here." Her and Liz looked at each other and walked out of the room.

Michael and I looked at each other and then at everyone else. We were screwed.

“Nice going,” Calum scoffed, rolling his eyes at Hayden. He stood up and pulled Nicole up with him.

“Where are you going?” Ashton asked him.

“To find Luke and Emma,” he said simply.

“I’m going with you,” Hayden said quickly.

“No way in hell,” Calum responded. “You already got them in trouble. You don’t need to but in even more.”

“Sorry for being worried about them!” Hayden’s voice raised a noch.

“You could care less about Luke. In fact, I’m sure you love that he got in trouble. You were just worried about Emma,” Nicole snorted. Go her! Who knew she had sass in her?

“Who isn’t even interested in you,” Chase added.

“All of you just stay here okay?” Nicole said as her and Calum walked out the door, trying to find the two before they got into even more trouble. Hopefully they found them quickly.
