"Your going to look so beautiful in your dress. After you makeup and hair is done, all that will be left to is get dressed." My mother said excitedly, like she was going to homecoming.
I giggled. "Your pretty excited. It's like your the one who is going to homecoming." I said.
"I'm sorry but it's just that I didn't go to things like that in high-school. Everything was just work, work, work."
She sighed and shook her head. "Let's get in this place. We're just on time."
We got out of the car and walked into the shop. My mom's friend owned it and I knew that she would a great job on my hair and makeup. And not only was she my mom's best friend but she was my god mother.
"I'll be back later for you. Call me when your done? I have some things to take care of for work."
"Okay." I said.
"Okay." She said before walking out.
I frowned and sat in the chair before Sasha began working on my hair. "You know how your mama is baby. All she knows is work. I tell her that all the time, but don't let it get to you. Just think about how much fun your going to have tonight."
"You right. Thanks nanny." I smiled.
"Your welcome baby."
-2 hours later-
I was finally home and I was pretty pissed off at the fact that I was running late. Since Kendall couldn't come to get me and my mom wasn't answering her phone, I had no choice but to call Eric.
"Thank for picking me up Eric. I appreciate it." I said.
"It's cool." He said dropping his keys on the table by the door.
I looked around my mom and she was nowhere to be found, which didn't surprise me because she is always gone. Slightly irritated, I made my way to my room and closed the door behind me before walking over to my bed. I took the dress out of it's box and slipped it on, along with the heels and jewelry to match. After I proceeded to take my hair down and make sure my makeup looked okay.
Now I was ready to go. I grabbed my clutch and filled it with the stuff I would need and made my way down the stairs. Eric and I were making our way out the door when the phone began ringing. I walked back inside of the house and picked it up.
To make things even worse now, my date for the dance called and told me that he was taking his girlfriend to the dance. They had recently gotten back together and of course she wanted him to take her instead of me.
At this point I didn't want to go anymore. I was almost an hour late and I had no date. I sat down on the sofa and kicked off my shoes.
Eric closed the door and sat down next to me. "What happened?" He asked.
"My date is taking someone else. So now I have no date and I've missed almost two hours of the dance. I don't want to go anymore." Tears started to fall down my cheeks.
He scooted closer to me and wiped my tear. "Stop crying. Your going to mess up your makeup." He said.
He looked into my eyes and I looked into his before smiling and looking down. "Now, go upstairs and change into something. I'm taking you somewhere." He stood up.
"Eric you don't have to do that." I stood up. "I'm fine."
"I'm not taking no for an answer Terry."
"Alright." I pulled him into for a hug and he wrapped his arms around me. I kissed his cheek and made my way upstairs to my room.
To be continued....
