Jimin curiously, looked through the open door to see Jungkook and Yoongi stand beside each other behind the high wall. Jimin frowned when he saw Yoongi hug the maknae, tightly as if afraid of losing him.
"You have no idea how much it means to me, thank you so much, Kookie. I love you so much."
Jungkook smiled, "I love you too, hyung." Their hug was a bit more longer than what Jimin would've thought of, and seeing that it was Yoongi that had been taking the step and being all sappy was a surprise to the new friend.
But broken-hearted at the scene, he slammed the door shut and walked down the stairs, slowly with extra care than he usually would.
"Forgot?" Jimin said, his statement sounding more of a question rather than an answer. Ji Won looked suspiciously at the boy sitting in the bed, "You sure?"
Jimin nodded, and Ji Won noted it down before taking his leave.
A few moments of silence later, Jungkook was the first one to speak in the silence that had drowned them, "D-do..." The question remained incomplete, Jimin cocked his head in curiosity.
"Do you..." Jungkook gulped, the words seemed to be hard to say out, "...r-remember me?"
For a moment, Jimin thought of how he would answer. Should he keep his act going on or should he say that he suddenly remembers? Jimin debated in his head, he didn't want to hurt Jungkook anymore, he hated seeing distance between them.
All he wanted was Jungkook's company beside him, theirs hands brushing against each other and their breath tickling. With their eyes aligned together and smiles never leaving their lips. Their messy heartbeats jumping on the skipping ropes, as all he wanted was to be with a person called Jeon Jungkook.
"I rememb-ber a few things." Jimin said, silencing their surroundings again.
"Our umbrella sharing," Jimin smiled, ready to begin again, "The bus that began our friendship, the sweater exchange that kept us warm, our tangling football match, sticky ice-cream fight – you still owe me the ice-cream, and..."
Jungkook found himself getting hotter by the words slipping out of his hyung's mouth, his heartbeat began to be unstable as his stomach fell into an endless pit. Wanting to stop the butterflies in his stomach, he inhaled sharply and didn't let go until Jimin had ended.
"...our café meet."
Jungkook nodded, processing the information in his brain. Jimin had almost remembered everything except for a few moments in the end.
"Y-you remember almost everything. That's good to hear." Jungkook managed to control himself and show his smile, "You don't recall our water fight, do you?"
"We had a water fight?" Jimin looked shocked at the new discovery. Or, at least, Jungkook thought he looked shocked. Jimin was just acting, and he seemingly was a very talented actor.
"You said that whoever gets the most wet would be the loser and would have to accept whatever the winner asked him to do." Jungkook chuckled, recalling their incident.
