Chapter 20 - Break Down Again

Rose Hastington

"Rose?" I got back to reality when I saw Kevin's hand waving in front of me. I looked to him and he raised his eyebrows

"Are you okay?" He asked

"Yeah" I nodded weakly and I feel bad for him because I just spacing out while eating with him. I looked at him and just can't stop admiring how caring he is towards me.

"I'm sorry" I said

"It's fine , I think you're tired. Let's just go home and let you rest" He smiled , oh Kevin why are you so sweet and caring. How I wish I meet you first before Max takes my heart.

"Let's just wa-"

"Rose , we can go tomorrow. Chill" He smiled and caressed my hand.

"Is something bothering you? You can tell me you know" He asked and I looked at him

"Nothing.. work just piling up" I said and smiled awkwardly

"I see , let's go. I'll take you home" He stood up and take my hand. He pulled me out from the restaurant and it's raining. I didn't realise it , I was too busy with my own world.

"Stay here okay? I'll take the car"

"Kevin no-" He already ran away , he's so sweet. I swear it. Suddenly my eyes caught something , I narrowed my eyes. As soon as I realise it , I glared at him.

How dare he stalking me!

I jumped as a car stop in front if me , it's Kevin's. I got in fast and Kevin drive away. I looked at Max's car again and can't believe that bastard is stalking me.

"Is there something wrong?" He asked and I sit up straight

"Nothing , I just thought I saw my friend back there" I reason out and he nodded

"Rose" He called and I turned to him

"Yeah?"

"I really like you Rose.. I just can't stop thinking about you. You're making me crazy" I turned to him , "I really like you Rose.. do you wanna go out with me? As.. be my girlfriend" He asked and I wanted to shout 'Yes' but somehow my lips froze and I can't find my voice.

"I know this is quite fast but I can't handle it anymore. I really like you Rose.. you're just amazing and just.. I can't describe with words but I just like you a lot" He expressed it all and I can't even find my voice to answer it

"You don't have to answer it now.. I must have starled you.." He turned to me worry and I smiled

"Wait for me? Will you?" I asked slowly

"I will.. of course I will Rose" He smiled , at the same time we arrive at my house. I got out and wave at him. He drive away and after Kevin left , a car parked in front of me. I know who that is so I quickly turn my body to walked away

"Rose"

"Let's talk.. okay? Hear me out" I take my keys out from my bag when I feel arms hugging my waist. I immediately pushed it away from me. I turned to him

"I don't want to hear your bullshit" I glared and opened my door , I walked in and I know he walked in too

"I was calling you at that time , when she walked into my office. She took my phone away and I don't know you're answering it , she sits on my lap and kissed me. I don't know why but she smells like you and it-"

"I don't want to hear your crap making out with Jennifer. Go out and never talk to me again" I said coldly

"I admit that I'm wrong Rose , please give me really one last chance. I wo-"

"It's over Max , done! We are done even we never start it. I have a boyfriend now , so just back off" I looked at him coldly

"I don't believe that" He shook his head and wow this bastard is really unbelievable

"I regret choosing you over Ashton.. I really regret that. That is the biggest regret of my life" I said his face shows hurt

"I love you Rose" I froze and looked into his eyes

"Wow Max.. I've been waiting for that words to come out from your mouth for 11 years but too bad I don't love you anymore" I crossed my arms in front of my chest

"Since the first time I lay my eyes on you Rose.. I know you're the one" Bullshit!

"Yeahyeah whatever , you can go now" I'm heartless

"Come back to me Rose" He walked to me and hold my hand. I quickly pull away my hand from his grip.

"No.. I have a boyfriend Max don-" I stopped because he suddenly leans his head down to mind. My eyes were on his eyes and his lips. Oh shit!

"I have to go back to New York tomorrow , I'll miss you. I promise I'll come back next week or in 4 days-"

"Do I look like I care? Go back there and never comeback here. I don't even care if you die , dying or whatever" I said coldly

"I love you Rose" He gave me a peck on my cheek and smiled

"Crazy bastard"

"You always say that when you're angry with me" He ruffled my hair , he's insane. I swear it , he's insane!

"Don't touch me you asshole" I smacked his hand

"Take a rest , I know you have been stressing about me.. My flight is in 2 hours so I have to go" He smiled , I looked at him in disgust

"Just go , I don't even want to see your face" I said coldly , he stole a kiss to my forehead

"Bye , don't worry about me. I'll text you when I get there. I'll miss you Rose and I love you" He smiled , he wave at me and I just turn away from him. He already gone and that where my thick walls break down again

I cried all my heart out that night and I just realise.. He still has my heart..
