I woke up and immediatly looked at the clock. It was 10 am. I had slept half of a day and the whole night. Half a day and a whole night more without Nala. I was still wearing the same clothes from yesterday and my hair felt like pom poms. I really needed a haircut. I looked for my phone and found it on the floor, next to a pile of white pillows. I grabbed it and checked the recent calls. None from Nala. I let out a sigh and headed towards the bathroom to take a shower. I took off my clothes and got in. I got out after about 10 minutes and got changed. I decided to put on black jeans, my black converse and a white tank top with a blue plaid shirt on top. I would have worned my red one but Nala had it. I brushed my teeth and got out of the hot bathroom. I got my phone again and dialed my phone number, hoping to hear Nala's voice on the other end but all I heard was the sound of my heavy breathing. I hanged up and put my phone in my back pocket. I opened my bedroom door and headed downstairs where I found Phillip watching a football game.
"I'm going out." I said as I got my car keys.
"Looking for Nala again?" He said, not bothering to take his eyes off the screen.
I looked at him and then looked at the keys. I walked towards the door and got out, ignoring answering Phillip's question. I got in the car and started driving.
I woke up to the sound of a phone ringing. I looked around the living room and found it on the other side of the room. I was still laying on the floor and I could barely open my eyes. I stood up and walked towards the phone. My tired hands grabbed the phone and the name BRUNO was across the screen. I sighed and declined the answer. I looked at the clock and noticed that it was 10:30. Brooke should have been awake by now but no noise came from upstairs. I walked up the stairs and stopped infront of Brooke's room. I gently opened the door and found Brooke asleep, her phone next to her. I closed the door and headed towards the bathroom. I took a quick shower and started drying my bruised body when I remembered that I had no clue where my clothes were. I wraped the wet towel around my body and started looking. I eventually found my backpack in one of the guest rooms. Any other day I would have been fine with wearing my dresses but it seemed wrong the wear such a colorful dress when I felt so lifeless. I looked through my backpack, hoping to find something less elegant but all I could find was the clothes that Bruno left me borrow. The scent of his colone was as strong as the day I wore it. I sighed and took the clothes inside the bathroom with me. I got changed and brushed my teeth quicky. Before getting out, I looked at myself in the mirror and let out a heavy breathe. It felt so wrong to wear his shirt but I had no choice. Seems like I never do. I got out and grabbed some converse that were in my bag and headed downstairs. I didn't want to stay here all morning till Brooke woke up so I decided to go out. Just as I was about to open the door, I remembered Bruno's phone. I went back to get it incase something happened. I put the phone in the jean pocket, took Brooke's spare key and left. I wasn't sure where I was going but all I wanted to do right now was leave. Leave this horrible world that I had entered and never come back, but I couldn't keep running away. I had to do something with myself, even if it meant leaving LA. As I was walking, several people would look at me and whisper things. Guess they had never seen a beat up girl walking alone in the street. Before that would have bothered me but now, I didn't care. I kept walking until I stopped infront of a fountain.
I looked around and noticed that I was now at a park. Not sure which one because there was millions of parks in LA. I got closer to the fountain and only notice about 2 people sitting in a bench and the rest of the park seemed empty. I looked closer at the fountain and noticed the shiny coins at the bottom. I smiled at the memory of me throwing coins at fountains as a kid. I looked at the ground and noticed a single pennie next to some fallen leaves. I grabbed the lucky pennie and sighed.
"I wish I could dissapear."
With that said, I threw the pennie into the green fountain water and just stood there. I turned and started walking away from the fountain when I felt someone looking at me. I slowly looked up and was found by a familiar face.
"Looks like we can't stay away from each other." Bruno said, nervousness clear in his eyes.
