"So he just kicked you out then?" Luke asked her, placing a glass with sparkly water in front of her. "All because I took you out for a coffee?"
She nodded her head lightly, staring down at her lap, "He found it weird as to why on earth I would go out for a coffee with my boss."
"He'll come back to you," Luke assured her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Don't think too much about it, you can stay in the guest room for as long as you want."
Logan nodded, not thinking she was able to speak because of the lump in her throat, the words in her mind seeming to run wild and she wasn't really aware how to handle them. And so, she cried. She cried because words weren't enough to show how much she was hurt over such a small conflict.
Luke's eyebrows shot up once he heard her sob. He wasn't very good at trying to comfort any people besides himself. Although he would never show any emotion around anybody that quick.
He just wrapped an arm around her shoulder and pulled her much closer than she was before. Normally, Logan would've pushed Luke away, but right now she was just a fucking wreck and needed someone who held her without asking questions.
"Get it all out, Lo," Luke whispered, stroking her hair softly while her face was hidden into the crook of his neck. He was sure some tears fell onto his shirt and stained the fabric, but he didn't really mind.
His hands roamed over her back before resting them on her waist, slightly pulling her up to set her closer to him so he was able to hold her tight and close. He guessed that was what she needed right now.
Her arms were securely wrapped around his neck, finding the support she needed now. She wasn't full on sobbing anymore, just quietly sniffing here and there and Luke hoped he was doing the job of comforting her well.
Logan lightly pulled back, arms still resting around his neck before she wiped her tears away with the back of her hands. She was sure her mascara was all smudged and possibly staining her cheeks but she really didn't care now. "I'm sorry."
Luke sighed softly, tracing shapes on her back as he looked down at her, her small frame curled up against him. "Don't say sorry for showing me how you feel. It's human, don't mind it."
You're not showing your feelings at all Luke!
Logan rubbed her eyes free from tears, sniffing once more before sighing really deeply. "Thank you for letting me stain your shirt." She chuckled, softly rubbing the black smudged spot on his grey shirt before pulling her hand back and letting it fall into her lap.
Luke just smiled at her, shrugging his broad shoulders, "Always," He assured her rubbing his thumbs over her cheeks to make sure all of the tears and make up had left her angelic shaped face. "Hey, what about going for a swim to calm your mind?"
"It's fucking cold!" She whined loudly, crossing her arms in front of her chest as she scoffed at her boss, who was already engulfing himself in the cold water.
"Fuck no, it's not that cold," He snorted, running his fingers through his hair to try to tame the wet mess. "Come on in, I'll keep you warm!"
That sounds nice doesn't it, Logan? Someone who finally wants to hold you. Go in and enjoy the moment.
"Fine, but if it's too cold I'm going back inside," She murmured although Luke heard her loud and clear.
He watched her silently walk into the water, grimacing once the clear blue water pooled around her waist, right above the waistband of her swimwear.
Luke had never expected her to be so open and naked in front of him, but he guessed she didn't wanted to make a big deal out of it. It was only swimwear, not some lacey and sexy underwear.
But you know she looks like sex on legs anyways, you can't really deny that now.
He was so sucked in his daydream about his maid, that he didn't even notice she was fully into the water now, shoulders hidden underneath the clear blue water. "And? Cold or not?"
She smiled sheepishly at him, holding onto the edge of the pool while shaking her head, "No, I guess it's okay now." She mumbled, although her gaze never left Luke's.
Never in a million years she had thought about being in Luke's pool. She had seen in when she came to work here, but never guessed she was able to use it.
She also never thought she'd see her boss in just swimming shorts, that hung dangerously low onto his hips, showing her more of his body than she thought she'd ever see.
Not that she was complaining.
"I told you!" Luke laughed, playfully rolling his eyes. It wasn't until then that Logan noticed they matched the water perfectly and she could easily drown in them.
Clearing her throat, she pushed herself away from the edge of the pool, now floating on her back as she watched the sky.
Two big hands easily found their way around her waist, pulling her into him slowly and carefully. She looked up at him, finding her own chest pushed against his and her arms around his neck.
"I told you I was gonna keep you warm now, didn't I?" Luke murmured into her ear, pressing a small and subtle kiss onto the skin there. It was so light Logan even thought she just wanted to feel it, and that Luke's lips just skimmed the skin there without any purpose. But once she felt another kiss being pressed onto her shoulder, she knew she was right.
Maybe she wasn't supposed to feel like this and maybe she wasn't supposed to like the attention he was giving her. But for now, she couldn't really care. She was heartbroken and liked the idea of getting her heart fixed by someone like Luke. Although maybe that wasn't going to be a great idea.
