"It's your turn now."
Suddenly my past karate skills had kicked in, along with my pumping adrenaline. I flicked my head against this head and he stumbled back, releasing my from my encagement. I heard the swish of a knife before I realized that he recovered quickly and attempted to cut me.
I screamed again and ran out of the door. Behind me I see his long looming shadow, the light making him seem more scarier.
Then Hoseok had shut it off with a click.
I whimpered softly before traveling lightly downstairs and out to the door, where it couldn't budge at all. I jiggled the door handle multiple times but I couldn't do anything
I was trapped in the house with a murderer.
Panic clouded my mind and I started to hyperventilate. Meanwhile, the sound of a scraping knife against the floor could be heard. I whimpered silently and grabbed the closest thing to me for protection. A vase.
"(Y/n) it's alright. I just want to have some fun with you." The voice said creepily. I couldn't pinpoint the source and I started to cry. Tears silently escaping my eyes. I blinked them away, only to find a big figure infront of me in the dark. I almost let out a scream when a hand went to my mouth.
"Shhh." The body in front whispered. "I told you to be careful."
I wasn't able to do anything! I thought in my mind. The voice speaking to me urgently sounded a lot like Hoseok. Was it the murderer? I tensed up, but he seemed to notice and snatched my wrist. I attempted to struggled but he was too strong.
I was going to die.
"Let go!" I screamed into his mouth but he dragged me along. Suddenly the creepy voice spoke up again.
"Was that you, (y/n)? Come out and play!" A few creaks then it was silent. Both the mysterious figure and I froze in our spots. Then it startled me.
"Ah ha!" There was yell on the second floor and the opening of a door. There was another silence and the murderer spoke again. "You weren't there...I guess I have to try downstairs..."
My wrist was pulled again until we were led to the top of the stairs to the basement. The hand on my mouth let go and I didn't scream. Whomever this man was, I knew he was helping me save my life.
He gestured his fingers for me to go down. I obeyed and we slowly descended into a darker abyss.
A new hope suddenly revived in me as I remembered there was a door in the basement that led to my back yard. We crept to it and slowly turned it. It was unlocked.
Thank God.
The mysterious man turned the knob and it produced a loud screeching noise. Our family's fault for not using the door.
"(Y/n)... The voice was heard from upstairs and I started to whine with worry.
"Don't worry. I'll keep you safe." The man said and we quickly went outside.
It was close to 7:00, when the sun started to set.
The moonlight casted an eery glow as we ran out of the house and into the park. The lamp lights made every shadow of the bench and playground equipment seem scary. I started to shiver.
I hadn't had the chance to study my saviour up until now. I scrutinized my eyes at him and noticed his tall height, his lean built and a sharp nose. I gasped, knowing it couldn't be him. Couldn't be?
"Hoseok?" I said out loud. The body infront me shifted with amusement. He crossed his arms, a smile playing on his lips.
"Took you long enough." He said. I exploded.
"What?! Who was that thing that murdered my parents? Why did that murderer look a lot like you. Are you sure you aren't lying to me?" I turned to run, but he grabbed my wrist, pulling me back.
"All will be answered soon. Right now, i need to protect you." He stated in a low voice. "What killed your parents isn't me, but my evil side. My villainous twin, my yang to my ying u can call it. He was the one stalking you. I'm hunting him now, but unforgivably he has taken an interest into you."
"What?!" I turned to face him, our faces a few inches apart. Reading his eyes in the dark, I could see a sympathetic sincerity and I believed him.
"How did this happen?" I asked sternly. He sighed and opened his mouth to reply.
But that thing talked to first.
"(Y/n)..." It whispered. I tensed up and instinctively went to Hoseok's chest.
"Help..." I shut my eyes as he pulled me close. We scurried over to hide behind the shed near the playground. I slid down the metal wall, both my hands shaking as the thought of the evil Hoseok getting to me.
"(Y/n)... You are mine. You can never get away from me..." I gasped again. My body submitting to a small fit of panic as I could hear footsteps walking closer to our hiding spot.
"(Y/n)...it's going to be okay. Hoseok whispered to me urgently. I will protect you from this no matter what. You have to believe in me." He stared into my frightened eyes before suddenly looking behind me.
All was silent.
He didn't move.
I turned around slowly, to find a smiling silhouette behind me with his arm raised over his head.
"Hello..." It said and there was a blur then black.
...
"(Y/n)...(y/n. (Y/n!!!)" A voice woke me up and my head shot up. My blurry eyes adjusted to a tall man with a sharp nose hovering above my hunched figure.
"School was over an hour ago. I was looking for you!" Hoseok, my boyfriend gave me a concerned look. I rubbed the dry saliva off my cheek and turned to survey the dark and empty room. I suddenly shivered, remembering my dream. About him.
"Right, sorry..." I got up and packed my bag before following Hoseok out the door.
"Geez please don't do that again. I was so worried that something happened to you."
"I had a long day. Please forgive me." I turned on my phone to see three text messages from my mom. I released a sigh of relief. My parents didn't actually die.
"You're my precious (y/n). Please don't make me stalk you everywhere you go." My boyfriend suddenly said in a low voice as we exited he school. I stopped in my tracks. The wind blew ominously as the trees in the distance rustled nervously.
I couldn't breathe for a few seconds as I was lost in thought. Hoseok's voice broke it soon after.
"What are you doing, let's go..." He grabbed my hand and pulled me forward. I stumbled after him and stared at his back. A sudden thought hit my head and I winced, but he didn't notice.
On the outside I was totally calm. To onlookers it would be an eager boyfriend taking a girl somewhere.
But on the inside deep down...
Somewhere in the pits of my mind...
...I knew I didn't have a boyfriend.
