If Draco had learnt anything from his friendship with Harry it was that Harry was the last person you could keep your secrets with, especially when it revolved around his best friend. But he had also learnt that Harry was the one you could rely on to gather information. And that was all Draco needed to know at the moment: valuable information on Hermione Granger.

Okay, so it wasn't that big of a deal, but Draco was afraid to ask Hermione himself. He simply wanted to know her opinions on her marriage but couldn't ask his girlfriend about it because he was scared he would end up, well, scaring her. And the sensible side of Draco knew that he shouldn't worry. He should just ask her himself. That would be smart and safe.

He was alone for a night and the worries were getting to him. He hadn't made any plans with Harry or Blaise, and he didn't know what Hermione was doing. She had been swamped with work and did not acknowledge a single text or letter. It was a Saturday night, he was tensed, he absolutely needed to do something.

Picking up his phone, he dialled Hermione's number. She answered after four rings.

"Hi, Malfoy," she sounded upset. It was also a blow that he had been called by his last name.

"What's wrong?"

"We need to talk."

"Okay, let's talk."

"I am coming over."

"Right now?"

"Yes, were you busy?"

"Not at all, come over."

"See you in five," she said and hung up.

Draco knew she would be with him in five minutes, so he straightened his living room and put on a T-shirt. Based on her voice, Draco knew that she had been wanting to talk since a couple of days. Maybe that's the reason why she had proclaimed to be busy.

His Floo sparkled and Hermione stepped into his living room a second later.

"Hey."

"Hi," she hugged him and added a light kiss.

"Are you fine?"

"No, can we sit and talk?"

They settled on his couch, sitting at arm's length. A couch where they had had sex plenty of times.

"You are being weird, Grangie. Are you breaking up with me?"

"Shut up. I wanted to talk to you about something else."

"What?"

"Well, I was with Harry the other day, and he mentioned something about you."

"Uh-huh."

"Draco, we have been together for a long time now. We are both smart people and we have always talked about everything. Merlin knows we have talked about the most absurd things. Can you please promise that you will come to me to talk? I am not that scary."

"You aren't scary, I am self-doubting. And I promise I will do so. It's just, at times, you are busy and I keep delaying asking you important questions."

"Don't blame it on me."

"I am not!"

"You are."

"No, and what did Harry tell you?"

"For once, Harry kept his word. He didn't mention what exactly, and he wouldn't even divulge, but I have a pretty good idea what it would be." A small smile, that was better.
