The store is three blocks from my house. A five minute drive, a 10 minuet walk. My boyfriend Marcus puts the keys in his car and it starts, Marcus is 16 years old. I am Aliana, and I turn 14 tomorrow. The store is three blocks away. I have 7 dollars.
I wake up to my alarm ringing in my ears, I look at the calendar and remember. It's my birthday. I'm 14. And today, presents aren't the only surprise I'm getting today. I walk into the bathroom and reach into the drawer of secrets (no one goes in there because that's where I keep my tampons) and I pull out the pregnancy test. Ok, I say to myself, everything will be ok... Just pee on the stick. It will be negative,I say in my head, I hope.
My palms sweat as I sit down after I'm done I read the box, "Wait 10 minuets for best results." Dammit. "Aliana! Marcus is here to take you to lunch!" My mother yells from the kitchen I hear Marcus laugh and I yell back "Ok! Give me 10 minutes!" After about 8 minuets I look down.

I'm pregnant.
