"Excuse me?" Henry said, his eyes shifting between the two boys.
"Alex is my boyfriend." John said.
"Oh. Are you gay?" Henry awkwardly asked Alexander, his eyes filled with panic.
"Then what are you?"
"What the hell is that supposed to mean."
"It means I like boys and girls, sir." Henry stared at Alexander, trying to figure him out.
"John, come outside with me. I need to talk to you." Henry said coldly, and Alexander looked at John, who gave him a smile. John walked outside the store with Henry, mouthing the words, "I love you." to Alexander through the glass doors.
"What is it, dad?" He asked, shoving his cold hands into his pockets. Henry looked at his son.
"Don't you dare break his heart."
"What?" John's face twisted with confusion at what his father had just said.
"Don't you dare break his heart."
"What the hell are you talking about?"
"John, that boy is the best that is ever going to happen to you, and I will not let you crush his heart."
"Shouldn't you be telling him this?"
"No, John, I need to tell you this, because I know that boy is desperately in love with you."
"So are you saying I don't love him?"
"John, listen to me. The whole time I was talking to that boy he kept looking at you, and don't you dare tell me it was because he was nervous. If you saw what I saw, you would see that that boy was looking at you with more love in his eyes then I have ever seen in another human being, including your mother."
"And I know what you are capable of doing, John."
"I was in high school!"
"You broke the poor girls heart!"
"I was gay!"
"That is no excuse, John. You led that poor girl on and when you decided you were done with her you broke her heart. I will not let this happen to Alexander." John sighed heavily, his hands still in his pockets.
"Dad, I'm not going to break his heart. I love him." John said quietly, looking down at his shoes. A tiny smiled flickered on Henry's face, and he patted his son on the back.
"I love you, Jacky, no matter what you do." John hugged Henry, holding back tears that were trying to fall down his cheeks.
"I love you too, dad." Henry smiled and they walked inside. John smiled at the worried look on Alexander's face. Alexander immediately calmed when John gave him a thumbs-up.
"I can't believe you said that," John said, his arm around Alexander's waist as the walked back to their dorm.
"It just came out!" Alexander huffed, his head leaning on John's chest.
"Alex, you literally said, 'Don't worry, I haven't done your son.'. Think about it."
"I don't know what happened!"
"Well, I do get points for it rhyming." John laughed, unlocking the door of the dorm. Alexander immediately crawled under John's covers, giggling to himself. John crawled under the blanket, his hands wrapping around his boyfriend's chest.
"I love you so much" John whispered, resting his chin on top of Alexander's head. Alexander turned around so that his face was facing John's.
Alexander yawned, pulling the sheets over his naked body. He opened his eyes, squinting at the beams of sunshine pouring through the curtains. He turned around, smiling at John's face. He watched his eyelashes flutter, sighing deeply. Alexander flinched, accidentally rolling onto his bottom, which was very painful as it had only happened seven hours earlier. He placed his head on John's chest, smiling as his boyfriend's eyes slowly opened.
"Good morning, star," John said, his voice raspy.
"Where you do you want to eat?"
"Al's Pancake World." John groaned, pushing his hair back.
"He doesn't even serve pancakes."
"Who cares? Now come on, let's go." Alexander laughed, hopping out of bed and pulling on his clothes. John dragged himself to his dresser, pulling on a pair of jeans and a shirt. They walked out of the dorm, and John wrapped his arm around Alexander's waist.
Angelica resting her back on the table, wiping off the flood of tears that were pouring down her cheeks. She looked around the room, glancing over at the bookshelf. She had no idea who's room she was in, but she didn't really care. Resting her wet face in her hands, she did not notice the man walking in the room.
"Angelica?" The man said. She got up, staring at her feet.
"I'm sorry, I'm leaving." She walked towards the doorway when her head crashed into the man's chest. He grabbed her upper arms to keep her from falling. She looked up and gasped.
"Thomas! I'm so sorry." She looked up at Thomas J., scanning over his face.
"Angelica, is everything all right?" He asked. She raised an eyebrow at the look of concern that lay on his face.
"Every thing is fine," Angelica said firmly. Thomas raised his eyebrows at her, and she sighed.
"Thomas Paine is cheating on me."
"What? With who?"
"I don't know."
"Angie, I'm so sorry."
"No, no, it's fine. I'm fine." She choked and began to burst into tears, resting her head against Thomas's chest. Thomas was shocked and not knowing what to do, he just stood there.
"You know, if you're really sad, I know a guy you might like," Thomas said.
"Hey, why don't you meet me at the library five tomorrow, I can introduce you to him." Angelica wiped her noise, smiling slightly.
"Okay. Bye." She walked out the room, and Thomas stood still, before storming out the room. He ran out of his building, looking for Thomas P. He froze when he spotted him sitting on a bench his arm wrapped another girl.
"Hey, you!" He yelled, climbing up the hill to the tiny bench. Thomas P. looked up from his book, a look of innocence on his face.
"Yes, you. How could you do that?"
"Oh, stop acting so innocent."
"Sir, I really have n-" Thomas punched Thomas P. in the face, and the girl screamed as he fell to the ground. Thomas punched his face again, and again, and again, until is nose was bleeding.
"Don't you ever go near her again," Thomas muttered, getting up and walking in the other direction when he felt Thomas P. jump on top of him.
