I'm sitting at the front of my Nana's funeral with Malachi and my mom. We still aren't on good terms because she did just walk back into my life.
Anyways I've been trying not to cry while looking at her lifeless body but I'm getting very emotional. This woman was my everything and someone so ruthless just took her from me.
Malachi grabbed my hand and held onto it tightly. I love my brother even though we don't see eye to eye most of the time but he's always there for me at the end of the day.
"We gonna be straight Nadi. Keep your head up. I'll find out who did it." Malachi whispered to me.
I looked at him with tears in my eyes. "I can't lose you either Malachi. You're all I have left."
"Mom is here now. Just give her a chance. Time heals all wounds."
I never had such a conversation with him like this before but I wasn't completely ready to forgive my mom just yet. If I ever have kids there is no way I'm just gonna up and leave them. It really messes with a kid and fucks their life up. I'll be a greater mom to my child than my mom ever was to me and you can put my life on that.
I glanced around the room trying to see who all showed up and it was so many people. I mean a lot. I saw my friends and their families and it just really meant a lot to me. I even saw Dylan which I couldn't understand but I'll chat with him later. He's been blowing my phone up ever since my Nana passed and I honestly think he may have something to do with it.
Soon it was time to view my Nana's body for the very last time ever and I began getting choked up as I stood in front of her.
"I love you Nana and I promise I will not let you down. I owe everything to you. Just continue to watch over me and Malachi and I'll see you again soon." I said kissing her cheek as a single tear rolled down mines.
I walked out of the building because I felt myself about to have a break down and i just didn't want to be in front of all these people. I tried to calm myself down because they would be carrying her body out soon and I wanted to be okay.
"It's gonna be okay."
I melted a little as I felt Nigel arms wrap around my petite frame.
"I don't know how I'm gonna do this without her Nigel." I said.
He turned me to face him. "You're a strong girl, you can do it. She wouldn't want you to be like this anyways."
As he was saying that I saw the pallbearers exiting with her body. People began pouring out of the church to head to the burial site.
"I'll see you after the funeral." I told him.
"Alright." He said hugging me before walking away.
I saw him go over to some guy who he began chatting with and he looked like he was angry. I headed to the car to get this day over with already.
As my Nana was lowered into the ground, I dropped a rose in and walked away.
I saw my mom and Whitney's dad having a major stare down at each other which is really weird.
"Nadia, can we talk?" Dylan says as he walked up to me.
"I don't wanna speak with you right now. Why are you even here Dylan?" I told him.
"You need to watch the people you hang around with Nadia. I did some fucked up shit to you but you need to watch the people around you because they got a lot of secrets going on that you in the dark about."
