Chapter Thirty-Two

"H-Huh? Star, are you actually serious?" Marco asked, as the blond princess smoothed down her soft head of hair and slowly put the wig on, revealing her true identidy further for Marco's sake.
"Yeah, why? Does it look like I'm joking?" She asked, smiling a little. "Okay, how about if I do this then?"
Star walked towards Marco, sitting on the bruenette's lap, as if it were the most comfortable seat in the entire universe.
The princess smiled and stared into the Safe Kid's eyes, as she gently cleared her throat and began to sing in her soft yet energetic tone.

I'm not from around here, I'm from another dimension...

Marco almost instantly recognised the lyrics and Star's singing voice! There was no doubt about it!
Star really was SB!
"N-No way...You're really...an international popstar..." the Safe Kid remarked, totally flabbergasted.
"I already said it before, didn't I? Geez, were you listening to me at all?" The blond asked, smiling as she playfully poked Marco's nose with her slender index finger.
"I-I was! Anyways, are you sure it's okay for you to be here with me? Shouldn't you be in Mewni, recording a new song or something, Star?"
"I stopped doing all of that stuff ages ago...Besides even if I was still a popstar, I would miss any live tour just to spend time with you!"
"Hehe...that's sweet, Star; but that would probably cause a huge problem for other people if you did..."
"It doesn't matter! It was only a hypothetical scenario anyways~!"
"Yeah, you're right..."

All of a sudden, the golden-haired princess began to look a lot more serious than she normally did.
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, before looking Marco straight in his eyes; which the Safe Kid found a little strange.
It was odd to see Star looking so serious as it was the polar opposite of her usual nature of being an over-excited, happy-go-lucky princess from a different country!
"Marco, as your one and only girlfriend, I have to ask you to forgive me..." the blond began, lowering her gaze. "I shouldn't have tried to hide the fact that I was SB after all of this time...I-I'm really sorry..."
"Star, I just want you to know that sometimes I walk around in nothing, but my underwear" the Safe Kid said, blushing a little from embarassment.
Star blinked in confusion, whilst also trying to hold back her laughter; attempting to try and sustain the serious atomsphere that the duo had going.
"W-What're you talking about, Marco? You walk around naked when I'm not around?"
"W-Well, uh...not all the time...b-but..." the bruenette stammered, trying to rectify his point.
"W-Why's that? I've already seen your...y'know...thing..."
"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! I-Its not that! I-I was just telling you one of my most well-kept secrets..so that now we're the same. I forgive you"
"Aw, thanks Marco; although that's quite the secret you've got there!"
"M-Maybe I should've told you a different one?"
"N-No...I've sort of got an image in my head and...I...well, I kinda l-like it..."

The couple blushed profusely before letting their lips touch, enjoying their intimacy.
Lately, the duo hadn't really been so 'physical' in their relationship; so this was a good break for them.

"H-Hey Marco?" Star whispered, smiling as she embraced her brown-haired boyfriend. "Do you remember? When we first met, it was in this room, the both of us were naked then as well...so your secret isn't all that embarrassing..."
"Y-Yeah..." the Safe Kid mumbled, recalling the event from his memory.
"Star, are you...?"
"Hmm? Are you expecting something, Marco?"
"N-No! Why would I be?"
"Well, the atomsphere is just right, we're already really close to each other and...your hearts beating like crazy"
Marco couldn't say anything to that, his counterpart was completely spot on!
"Sorry Marco, but not now...we've still got to move the rest of the boxes up here" Star smiled, standing up and heading towards the door. "Maybe we can build up the atomsphere again later, if you know what I mean...?"

Marco was simply speechless as he watched his beautiful blond girlfriend smile at him from the doorway.
It might've been just his eyes playing tricks on him, but the Safe Kid could've sworn he saw a fammiliar glint in Star's big, blue eyes.

But it couldn't possibly be...right?
