SABTI POV
I was in the hospital for five days. I wasn't beaten, bruised, or battered but rather dazed and confused. Trey was charged with disturbing the peace and put in jail for 15 days. While he was gone, I packed up and left for Nassau (in the Bahamas) to get my mind right. I couldn't deal with all this craziness. I didn't call off the engagement, but I just needed some space to get some clarity. All three of my children are with my mom. I'm not alone though, Tenese and Ocelean are here with me and we all need some peace from our chaotic lives. My mom and April often brought the kids to me, but Trey was busy touring and probably too in his feelings to come and work things out.
ONE MONTH LATER....
I made it back to Virginia to fly the kids back to Honduras but at the last second, Trey and I decided to work things out because we love each other and because we are a family after all. But everything isn't peachy perfect as I'd like to say it is. Trey isn't cheating on me, but I'm scared of something else....
During my time in Nassau, I was driving with Tenese and Ocelean to the spa when I saw a little girl crossing the street with her brothers and sisters. I tried slowing down so I wouldn't hit them, so I swerved, and ended up hitting a tree instead. I may not have hit the little girl, but a drunk driver did! I got out of my car (bruised up of course) and took her to a nearby hospital, but she died two days later. The police, hospital staff, and her family stated that I wasn't at fault but I still felt guilty. I paid for the funeral. Trey has tried assuring me that it wasn't my fault at all. Ever since that day, I feel as though there's a spirit following me....as if though it made a mistake.
....it was supposed to take my life instead.
